You forgetet about maneuverability of the missile, also you can lock and launch R-27R from much further and spotting diamond for Vikhr will be visible for more than twice as long because of engine burntime. But really the main thing here is combination of radar with propper PD and missile maneuverability, at 11.7 thats a very potent combination. Also consider you will be seeing 11.0 - 11.7 not all of which can even detect your radar.
Also giving it JUST R-27R would be strage, at this point we either give it everything and it jumps to 13.0 or just make another clone but with those missiles.
Alternatively Gaijin could finally implement loadout dependent BR but thats never happening I guess
The minmaxing of loadouts would be a disaster, BR balance wise.
Wdym?
Most forms of “dynamic BRs” would inevitably lead up to people minmaxing their loadouts to be as powerful as possible, as low in BR as possible.
You can already see people abusing arcade BRs for lineups.
Not really, unless you imagine this system will be that deep. As I imagine there will be a minimal baseline (for things you can’t change like FM and Radar) for all aircraft that would be same/about the same as their current BR, and only things that would break generational capability gaps would impose BR “penalty” like Fox 3 on current 13.0 plane. F-14 for example won’t even be the strongest plane at 12.7-12.3 if you take away AIM-64.
Otherwise please provide examples.
And at the end of the day, you can always tweak the system to avoid extremities. It’s not like Gaijin are forced to implement it “all or nothing” style.
Its obviously hard to provide examples of exploits in a system that doesnt even exist yet.
But to keep it in line with the topic of Su-39, lets assume its current 11.7 BR reflects all of its capabilities, including ground strike.
Now, assuming removing ground strike weaponry would lower its BR, what happens if I take the Su-39 and equip it with nothing but air to air missiles?
Even if removing its ground strike capabilities lowered its BR by just one step, you would end up with an 11.3 R-73 slinger with passive IRCM.
And thats assuming it would go down by just a single BR step.
Sure, you could introduce additional restrictions or minimum BRs for certain weapon combinations, but thats precisely my point. Players would inevitably look for combinations that give them the biggest advantage at the lowest possible BR.
Why would that be the case? Ground ordenance does not affect BR in that system. If you mean GRB then the answer is still the same, just look at F-16A 12.0 and F-111F 11.7, the latter has obviously better ground ordenance, yet, it is lower BR in GRB, because Gaijin primarily balance around AA capabilites, and this will remain in the new system. Also baseline is not something that can be lowered in proposed system, it’s a baseline for a reason. In case with “early” 13.0 ARH carriers (like F-14/AV-8 and alike) baseline will be in configuration without them.
That is really impossible outside of generational transitions, and even than I can only think of one where that will maybe have any sense, like 13.0 - 13.3. Configurations without any missiles obviously won’t be counted as baseline.
Lets take for example Su-30SM2, you might think that without ARH it would be 13.0 or 13.3, but even if we won’t go into details of gameplay, jsut looking at baseline performance (FM and Radar) - Su-27SM is better than Su-27, Su-30SM is better than Su-27SM, Su-30SM2 is much better than Su-30SM, considering each improvement grants at least 0.3 BR difference the Su-30SM2 baseline BR will be 13.7, do you really gained any advantage by abolishing Fox3? I doubt.
Why it wouldnt be the case?
Remove capability = lower BR.
Just as adding R-77 to its current loadout would increase BR.
Well then show how such system would look in its entiriety, otherwise its kinda pointless for me to make further arguments about system that exists only as your idea. Like its pointless for me to present objections when you will come up with rule that would rectify it on the spot and present it like that was always part of your system.
So im dropping the subject entirely, beside its lowkey offtopic.
And they lack any acceleration, speed or climb rate to make use of their agm65s let alone gbu39s on 11.7, especially in uptiers.
Might want to try again then. Sometimes it takes second attempt. Or just stick to mercury.
Then you should launch them when you know enemy will be unlikely to dodge even if they get rwr warning.
Out of inertia, because we were discussing night battles where you need kopyo pod or mercury night vision tpod.
I literally showed example with current Gaijin logic with F-16A and F-111F
See above.
Well, in sim Sim big red diamonds aren’t a thing.
Nor in grb.
You’ll have to show me, I don’t think I quite understand what your talking about.
Exactly. Meaning the long range likeliness to score a kill won’t be increased by a massive amount.
Short range on the other hand, will be.
But it gives it more of a chance vs being free food for F-4S’s among other things.
Wdym AGM-65s are pretty nice. IR fire and forgets coupled with gen 3 thermals, a very low heat sig, a MAW, and IFF HMD.
Not to mention the 4x aim-9ms.
It’s good for possibly acquiring a target sure, but I still don’t see the use of the Tpod, the Su-39 has a good optic apart from its lack of thermals.
Not when you launch them at 600 kph speed from low altitude. Problem lies withing carrier which is essentially same a10a late which didnt receive much changes in cas department aside from tpod and bombs it struggles to use thanks to poor speed and climb rate. Id just use av8b na or harrier t10 instead, both are faster and have usable munitions outside of agm65s.
Here is standart sight:
Freddy Mercury:
Kopyo:
I think difference is quite visible here. Its black screen or actually visible tank or tank highlighted via hud + has sight locked on his location (plus kh31a guidance but thats tf2 troll soldier kind of stuff).
They actually updated the mercury pod then, the last time I used it, it was just generic night vision, which was kinda pointless lol.
Not sure why you would use anti ship missiles in grb though…
I guess the BMP-1 does count as a boat doesn’t it?

bruh six people actually made accounts to give you dislikes
your recent sessions are nothing but abusing very powerful to outright overpowered vehicles in RB. Thats
your most used vehicles are all russian other than T58, almost all of which could easily be called powerful to oppressive for their BRs. youre an extreme russian main just as im an extreme british main, stop larping as anything else.
This is not me being a mr meaniepants, look at the figures and the facts are undeniable
Try the hawk for yourself. The grass is not green on that side, it died years ago and turned to peat.
I have in customs with people over the years and in live matches, which is why im saying it.
Its still standart night vision but either way its better than no night vision at all.
For trolling mostly. If it hits it obliterates the target. Also it can be launched and guided from outside any saclos aa range. Plus its one of fastest agms in game.
Everything that can be locked with gmti is eligible for getting locked and destroyed by kh31a.
Crazy world to be disliked for disagreeing with others.
And by make accounts you mean, John do, crazed otter, and a few others?
No real surprise there lol. More like a badge of honor tbh
Also,
Apart from the Somua, Tigris, and KV-220, I’m actually shocked you said such a thing.
I can’t legitimately believe you said the Aubl 74 HVG is “Very powerful, to outright abusive” is funny…
Given you’ve never even played a single Italian vehicle lol.
Also, I don’t want to hear “abusive” when your main played vehicle is a Fox… something something Pot, kettle… black.
I’m not really… but thanks for admitting what you are I guess?
As I said previously (somewhere) most of my stats are old, and came from when I only played Russia.
In fact I haven’t touched the BMP-2M in forever because it’s kinda meh, and I completed the USSR tech tree awhile ago.
Like the fact you called the Aubl HVG Op…?
Remind me, how many other nations have you played / how many vehicles do you own?
I have 1478… you have 619 with about half of them being Brit’s.
Contrast is way different, which means it’s improved in my book.
