T-58 is the only outlier here.
All the SU-30 premiums with six of your second best ARH missile at the same BR make up for the F-16XL, IRIAF is 13.7 now where it should always have been, F-14D is just an F-14B with a full PD radar with no other functional differences.
I don’t play naval so not much input there.
They are bad at mega bvr larp (which is impossible on su39 anyway) but neat at closer ranges. Much more reliable than r73 which goes for couple flare pops.
SHAR FA.2 can also run with 6x Missiles if you ditch BOL pods
4x AIM-9M(Shared pylon with 2x AIM-120 or BOL) with 2x AIM-120B.
And with that loadout… it is limited to 60 countermeasures
It might be true that it needs a better offensive capability
But your solution will eventually BE WORSE FOOD FOR A FIGHTER
In 11.7 you see F/A-18C Early at maximum
But in 13.0, you need to fight against tons of premium Su-30s, and many 4th Gens
You are acting like US Mains who cry for AIM-120A or AIM-9M on their premium Hornet, but on the Russian side.
A single track logic pattern?
Gaijin Balances vehicles like that, no?
‘Ooof, modern ARH missiles, then 13.0 minimum-’
IIRC, both F-14B and D are 13.0BR in Air RB, not 12.7.
So, if you give R-77 on Su-39
No matter how good or bad it is
Gaijin will just shove it into 13.0 BR, and it will be DOA
At this point, I think that line was a self-introduction of yourself
Your pattern about Su-39 is literally the same as those Hornet mains who cope: F/A-18C Early with AIM-120&9M could remain 13.0-13.3BR
When the Finnish F-18C is stuck at 14.0BR with the same capability.
I am telling you that your suggestion will nail the coffin shut on the Su-39
I am wondering why dismissing your biased idea becomes ‘biased’
I don’t give a damn about Su-39 getting R-77 or not by itself
If you really want to get doomed? Then go on, get R-77, be 13.0BR, face tons of 4th gens.
Simple.
There is no way the Su-39 can become a lower BR than 13.0
Because there is precedent.
SHAR FA.2 is literally worse than any 13.0BR jets and worse than AV-8B+ in nearly all aspects
But still stuck at 13.0BR for years.
So if you give R-77s to the Su-39, Gaijin just shove them into 13.0BR. Then it will be worse than now.
Most dedicated fighters get 2-8 SARH or ARH around the Su-39.
Let’s say in the “best” loadout the Su-39 gets…
2 R-60s (pretty much useless)
2 R-77s (best for high alt under 6miles but has some uses at low alt if the enemy fighter messes up).
And
2 R-27s (ER or R) the only real long range usable SARH it would get. If it gets an R-27R it wouldn’t out pace anything fired at it, because almost all it’s competitors go Mach 4.0+.
So the plane would become a noob trap.
Such as the F-14s (expect these are a bit harder to dodge, they can gain a lot of alt and launch many many arhs).
I can interrupt you any moment with r77 and force you to go multipath or notch and lose you missile. Or do the same if su39 gets r27er with datalink. And if you go multipath I can use 16 vikhrs that ignore multipath. And of top of that twin barrel instagib gsh30.
Not that one sided actually.
Also if it gets r27r/er it should get r27t/et as well. So su39 could sneak one or two and catch you off guard.
But thanks for reminding me the F-4S gets Aim-7Fs which are better than sky flashes (pretty much the same missile, but you love to nitpick after all and claim I’m lying)
I use the Su-25T which is the tech tree version. I get 2 R73’s and 2 R60’s. I also carry 4 napalm and 2 20 mm cannon pods and do alright. You need to side climb and wait for everyone to merge. No one looks up to 25,000 feet after the merge. I drop my napalm from up high and fire the missiles on aircraft at lower altitudes. You just need to relearn how to play it since the BR change. Just my opinion.
