Not entirely. 13.3 can still face 12.3.
no they don’t
see
you’d be suprised. to be fair most matches at 13.3 I’ve played have been 12.7/13.7 or just 14.0, the few full downtiers were very appreciated.
Now you must also recognise that a lot of NEW 13.3 planes is gonna induce downtiers for 14.0 and uptiers for 12.3s
what. I don’t think there’s a 13.3 bracket lol, you have to intentionally uptiering yourself
this is a sim thread
if something is 13.3 or 13.7 dosent matter right now
I’ve seen block 10s and F-20s. so either they’re uptiering themselves or I’m getting full downtiers
sim and rb work fundamentally differnet br wise
I noticed that all the StatShark sustained turn rate graphs from every F-16 FM are wrong.
I was comparing the block 15 with the F-16C barack II and the F-16D sustained turn rate and I realised that the F-16D actually has about the same STR of the block15 of 21.5 deg/s at ± 750kph IAS, if not a tiny bit better if you can sustain at 800kph+ with ace crew or trim tricks
I was saying the ADF rated better, but it only applies at slower speeds by like 0.5-1 deg/s at most
You’re getting full downtiers because you are not playing Air Sim. Sim has fixed daily brackets and not random matchmaking from AB/RB.
The negative bleed rates for the ADF will favor it. In a 1v1 with equal skill the twin seat F-16D will lose most of the time.
The F-16 tier list is basically as follows,
Blk 10 > Blk 15 > 16C > 16D.
There are a few situations, like close vertical stalls at no speed where 16C thrust to weight makes it better but the margin is basically negligible.
However, if the 16ADF plays it remotely well, they should have an opportunity to land a shot BEFORE the dogfight reaches a stall position (unless of course, the ADF intended to try and force one)
Oh my god, can we please not add AIM-120 AMRAAMs to my beloved US ADF? This just doesn’t feel right. I get that it’s technically accurate for real-life F-16s ITALIAN ADF’s, but come on—wouldn’t it make more sense to add more F-16 variants to the game instead of giving AMRAAMs to all 12.7 F16s? That’s just crazy.
Where’s the Block 52 or Block 30 that Europeans used so much? And if we’re talking about 4++ generation, what about the Block 60 or even Block 70? Why are we rushing only with the Super Hornets and Gripen Es? I think the devs should focus on adding more F-16 versions in US tree rather than slapping AMRAAMs onto older airframes. Honestly, it’s just disappointing.
Yes naturally, I was just correcting myself because I said the ADF rated better than the F-16D which is not the case.
In a strictly gun fight:
Block 10 >> 16C block 50 >/= block 15 > block20 >/= 16C block 40 >> 16D block40
The major difference is the block10 > all the others > 16D block 40
The block15 won’t have an easy time against the 16C block50 or even block40, I’m unsure which one is actually better, they do different things better from one another. The block15 can do much tighter circles than the F-16C, but at the cost of a horrible turn rate at 17.5 deg/s if you sit at those speeds.
Apart from the block 10 and the F-16D, they all match quite closely in my opinion, it’s more a matter of decision making and avoiding mistakes, you either have the lighter jet, which favours 1C aggressive play at the start where you get a better starting positioning due to the bleed rates, or one with higher TWR and sustained turn rate which favours patience where time is on your side.
For a missile engagement or an actual match, those with derby have the advantage in a 1v1. So arguably the F-16C block40 is the best since it has the option to carry both aim-120 and derby.
Yeah there’s a bit of irony in the only F-16 with sparrows being the AJ…
At this point, they can add F-16C Block 30 with late 1980s to early 1991 configuration for US and maybe Israel.
That’s an unfortunate timing, because gaijin just announced AMRAAMs for early F-16s and new BR brackets:
There will no longer be a 12.7 bracket, so your proposal is meaningless.
They probably gave AMRAAMS to early F-16s, so they can compete with MiG-29SMT when a 13.3 bracket drops. I personally would just add another F-16 variant (also more MiG-29 variants), look how many variants of Bf 109 or Spitfire we have, when Gaijin still cared.
Overall I like the idea of separating F-16 ADF from AIM-9M and Fox 3 slingers.
he made that proposal a day or two before it got announced that the F-16A ADF will recive the AMRAAM
from what i have seen they are only able to carry 4 AMRAAMs so it is closer to the JF-17 in that regard, i would say
Jf17 is still superior, and probably the best 13.3 too paired with the su34
The f16 probably has slightly better flight performance, not sure tho and I have to check
