the F-16D takes longer to reach mach
against a not-spaded F-16D? lol
no it is fully spaded
16D’s drag issue allows the ADF to pull away at lower altitudes.
HOWEVER. At altitude(5000M), the ADF still accelerates better, by a larger margin actually, as the engine thrust output difference isn’t as great, and the ADF actually produces noticeably MORE thrust above about 1500KPH (about mach 1.25)
sea level
5000M:
@HighRiskNoReward
even tho the F-16D had a slight head start you can see the mach cloud on me first
Yeah thats what I said, the F-16D has higher acceleration, only at above mach it gets slowed down by the extra drag more than the ADF, but overall in a match, the F-16D will be faster since it will climb better and get at altitude faster, especially with missiles
are you blind?
the ADF reached mach first even tho the F-16D had a head start
it dosent get anymore favourable for your position the 16D had a head start and yet didnt manage to reach mach before the ADF
It doesn’t though. The ADF has better acceleration at altitude as well, and MORE thrust above mach 1.2
Reach mach and start a climb, the F-16D has a considerable advantage. It will climb around 260m/s for a some time till you get to 6000m+ where the ADF will be around 235m/s at the same speeds and can’t hold it like the F-16D can
Acceleration above mach is not as relevant as below mach
you are just making a clown out of yourself now
you are starting to contradict yourself
yes and that is exactly what i showcased
the F-16D reached mach later meaning it has worse acceleration, it is that simple
I’m testing both back and forth, that is what I saw.
The F-16D is more draggy above mach which makes a big difference at sea level acceleration to reach top speed, appart from that, the F-16D will climb better, and if you want to get fast, you need to climb…
I don’t know why you are insisting on that, the F-16D has an acceleration and climb advantage and it’s simple math and verifiable by flying the jets.
Its FM is not as bad as most people think.
Does the ADF have higher top end speed? Yes, mainly because of the drag difference, is it relevant in most matches? No, since the F-16 is already one of the slower jets on the matchmaker.
Do I prefeer the ADF flight model over the F-16D in a vacuum? yes
Do I prefeer the ADF with 6 aim-120a over the current F-16D? probably not
this is not what the whole disscussion was about
this disscussion was about the acceleration and nothing else
just accept that you were wrong and move on
But I’m not wrong, the F-16D accelerates faster till mach, climbs marginally better at sea level, and climbs much better at altitude
Although the start could be better, all I can see there is the F-16D pulling away till mach. Now start a climb and you’ll see the big difference
he had a slight head start, means he throttled up sooner, means he should have reached mach first if the f-16d had better accel
which he didnt so please kindly just accept that you are wrong and move on
Where am I wrong? You seem to be pushing a different argument.
I told you the F-16D accelerates better, which it clearly does because of the higher TWR, then at high speeds the ADF will have better acceleration because the F-16D will be dealing with extra drag.
Anything wrong with that? The margin is not big at sea level since the F-16D twr advantage is just roughly 1.08 vs 1.01 if you actually bring a little more than min fuel on the 16D to match the fuel weight
are you blind did you see a different clip from anyone else?
the ADF reached Mach before the 16D how would that happen if the 16D had better acceleration.
it wouldnt becasue it is physically impossble
but sure have another clip wher the 16D didnt had a headstart
I know the ADF reaches mach first by a small margin, still the F-16D has higher acceleration at slower speeds. And even at mach or above it gets a higher climb rate. Not hard to understand or test
the argument was never about climbrate or anything else, it was simply about acceleration which with your own words is:
at this point you gotta have to be ragebaiting there is no way you double down yet again
