ohoho I’ve been there, they got surprisingly sizeable number of Mauser (Kar98k?) rifles in the collection, there’s also a mismatched Lee-Enfield sniper rifle (which kinda annoyed me lol)

the guns collection cabinet kinda wack, they mix post war weapons like Madsen M/50 and Pre war/WW2 era Dutch Geweer M.95 in same cabinet, even the label are mismatched like Walther P38 tagged as Polish FB Vis pistol. Also the gun condition is not great like i saw a FN 49 full on mold spot in the cabinet and Lewis gun with weird DP like pan mag

Also i mainly photograph the Firearms there for Enlisted forum

Bonus:

Another procurement rumor (more or less) confirmed:

The Instagram account of the National Air Defense Command posted on 29 December that the Commander of the National Air Defense Command receives the report of Indonesian Army personnel’s Battalion-level commanders training on Buk Air Defence in Belarus.

Previously, the rumor said that the Ministry of Defense has taken an offer to buy and signed the procurement contract for Belarus-made Buk-MB2K SAM system.

lowkey surprised the other broker didnt try to overtake, maybe the Buk is part of a deal for the lighting fast Heli deal 🤔🤔

It’s got a little bit of everything!
Too be fare it make sense from a policy point and economic. Though the maintenance personal hate it.

I kinda hope Gaijin would eventually release Light Vehicle with AGL to the game (with NATO 40mm AGL, only Russian who didn’t have HEDP shell for their GL)
There is lot of that kind of Vehicle in SEA nations army like this Indonesian retrofitted BTR-40

Interesting opinion article on future ID aircrafts by ID Defence Consultant:

Reviewing Indonesia’s 2026 Fighter Jet Acquisition Program

notable excerpts (a bit long) :

the Ministry of Finance periodically publishes reports on the withdrawal of Foreign Loans (PLN), where the value of the debt withdrawn, lenders and the ministry of debt users are listed. …

In the previous period [pre-2025], the overall amount of PLN quota was to support the procurement of jet fighters, including trainer fighters, was US$11.2 billion. Of these, $8.4 billion has been spent in contract to Dassault Aviation and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), while the rest worth US$2.8 billion has not been spent.

PLN allocation of US$2.8 billion is intended to finance a controversial purchase program that is not through careful planning, namely imports of 12 J-10B+ used from China and the procurement of prototype aircraft from Turkey which is claimed to be the fifth generation but does not have a driving system at all.

… . The acquisition plan of Russian-made fighter jets cannot be ignored, as Indonesia proved not to be afraid of the threat of CAATSA sanctions as reflected in the activation of the 11 Su-35 procurement contract by 2025.

First, the procurement of Rafale continued as the embodiment of the Letter of Intent signed on May 28, 2025. The Ministry of Defense will at least procure 18 units of fighter jets that adopt the double propulsion system after previously having previously awarded the 42-fall account of the acquisition to Dassault Aviation. Clarity about Rafale’s additions seems to be visible in the first 31 days of the year if there is no change in development.

Second, the acquisition of KF-21 as a continuation of Engineering, Manufacturing and Development (EMD) phase first. The type of KF-21 that will be purchased by Indonesia is Block 2 with the ability to attack air to the ground and air into the air.

Currently Indonesia and South Korea are currently taking a number of steps to realize the procurement of the dual-engineer fighter, both bilaterally and unilaterally. For example, there is no transverse aral, it could be that the KF-21 Block 2 procurement contract will be signed this year so that the first aircraft can be submitted in 2028 aka before the 2029 election.

In terms of cost, it is estimated that the acquisition plans of Rafale and KF-21 will require PLN around US$5 billion to US$6 billion by including logistical support, training and procurement of weaponry. Such estimates also depart from the assumption that Indonesia will buy about one fighter jet squadron for each type of fighter.

if you want the TL;DR:

  • Contract of 11 Su-35 (now we know the number) (EDIT: NVM we’ve already known the number for a while i forgot)
  • KF-21 Block 2 (Air-to-ground capabilities) is the target (this one we’ve known for a while)
  • KF-21 could be officially signed this year, with delivery in 2028
  • +18 additional Rafale from the original batch to be confirmed
  • 12 used J-10B+ (refurbished?) to be brought in (unsure whether this is still going or not, presumed to be the former)

With infantry stuff like this could be added in the infantry tree

40x53mm AGL could work in the game like a low velocity Auto cannon, gun handling wise it’s similar to the already exist AGS-30 just with slightly higher velocity and has the benefit of existing HEDP (HEAT) Shell, M430 has 51mm of pen (the same shell in 40mm AGL in AH-1G) while the improved M430A1 has 76mm of pen.

Low tier would suck in this thing. You would have to get to sword range to be effective. Though with infantry running about I hope we get armoured cars to jump into and rush to the next building.

On the bright side, the Facebook account of Roesmin Nurjadin AFB in Pekanbaru said that the Rafales would arrive in 22 January, or in the coming two weeks.

at this point it’s better for PT Pindad just develop and rebuild AMX-13 as SPAA and ATGM carrier rather than continue using them as light tank.

that’s why small and fast light vehicle like BTR-40, P6 ATAV and VBL is the only logical platform for 40mm AGL in WT. especially in Urban map

yeah honestly it being used as a TD is a good option as the problem really is only in the 105mm firepower. Hopefully the Turks can help remedy that with the modernization program, like just take the turret off and use it as coastal battery or something, fit something else in its place

Heck even in Battalion level they can just strap AA guns like Rh 202 into truck or S-60 to the Flat bed truck and voila! makeshift SPAA with better mobility than just regular towed version
