With so many fighter jets using rockets and using their speed to beat strike aircraft to bases, could we issue a 40% penalty for RP and SL done to bases with non strike aircraft? A lot of strike aircraft cant even make it to mid map before being swarmed by fighters, when 2/3 the fighters in the group rush to bomb bases. There have been a lot of strike aircraft added and especially at top tier makes it a harder to get any points to research out the modules for the slower strike aircraft.
Yeah… I spaded the Jaguar IS for the spade bonus to dump into the FA2 and whilst I could make it to the location of the bases 80% of the time without any issue, maybe only 1% of the time there was a base for me and then just had to loiter AFK waiting for bases to respawn. I did actually have several matches with 0 score because by the time i made it to the bases, there were none and then the match ended before I could put my bombs on literally anything else.
ARB is literally designed to be anti-strike aircraft

Penalties are a terrible idea, but even if we had them, objectively that isn’t what they’d look like.
Fighters kill aircraft, attackers kill ground units, bombers kill bases. That’s the obvious and clear design intent, thus it’s also how penalties (or bonuses, looking the other way) would be split.

There are not. That doesn’t change anything, it simply means bomb targets are fair game for fighters and attackers. This is no different than having a prop-BR match in which a team happens to not have any bombers.
Sure, instead of making objectives respawn in a reasonable time let’s screw over the people trying to spade out and unlock modules for their aircrafts. This is what’ll make the game better, surely!
Personally, i am against PvE and bombing in general, but reducing rewards for anything is never a good idea.

so instead of screwing over the fighter planes that are designed specifically to get into fights by making them fight instead of bomb, your ok screwing over the slower attack aircraft that are trying to grind out their plane… your logic is solid.
Penalties should not be added. They harm the game, and buffs would be a better option.
Fighters bombing is caused by one of two things. Stock grind, and the want for an easier grind. These are both problems Gaijin has created, and Gaijij should attempt to fix them. The RP cost for modules should be significantly reduced, or planes should have the best missiles stock.
I like the premise, so much that I have already came up with a system to try to reward players for acting in a vehicles primary role and earning more rewards for those actions. I think 40% is a bit much though. Swing by and take a look:

Perhaps fighters could not be allowed to take bombs/rockets for the first 5 minutes (maybe less) of a match.
This would give slower attackers/bombers a chance to hit their targets, and keep fighters focused on enemy planes, ensuring less teammates suicide rushing bases and being useless to the team.
Once things have calmed down and there are less players, fighters can take bombs and rockets so they dont fly around doing nothing.
Limiting play choice in ordnance is defeating the purpose of being able to select them. They are already planning on moving the strike jets to the forward bases IIRC. Be happy with that.
That, combined with some more bases or faster respawns. Would probably about do. Though I still reckon an F-4 with a light load, could still beat something like a Tornado to a base. Though then they also need to fix rockets doing as much base damage.
I just wish my team was playing to win, and get better at the game. Not bomb a single base and leave the rest of uus hanging :(
Its certainly an issue with those premiums. Strike aircraft like the Jaguar, Tornado, etc should be able to do something in ARB and get a reward. But its how to make it fair for everyone.
How do you encourage those players to actually use their A2A capabilities whilst still allowing the Ground attackers a fair shot at some rewards. Maybe we need "Strike aircraft only " bases or something. Though people will always chose the path of least resistance and those F4s in perticular just allow you to skip the grind

Bases should respawn near-immediately upon destruction, like they used to, letting both fighters and attack aircraft get their bombs in. I never said attack aircraft should be screwed over anywhere in my post.
