The economy nerf leaks were thankfully dismissed, so we don’t have to worry about nerfs for now.
you can thank zombers, instead of removing bases, they made ground units into terminators and then took a shit on rewards. You play sim because its what you find fun now, not really to grind (unless its for points for events and again you are zombing with this method).

Same. I’m already on the cusp of it. I love the assets of this game way more than any other game, hundreds of cool detailed fighter jets with varying weaponry.
EC is really showing it’s age though. Objectives are boring, there’s very little variety and bugs are driving me mad. It’s a shame, this game has enormous potential, they can’t even make a new map for EC in 2 years, no major changes in objectives either

Tl:dr:
600 score is 85% reward
800 score is 90% reward
1000+ (even 2000) is 92% reward.
A) This is a thread about SIM AIR not RB!!
B) It takes me just one 10-15 minute game of mid tier GRB to earn the same amount of SL, that it takes 2 hours of tryharding in SIM top tier while having the most kills and score by far from both teams and a win on top of that. So if you complain about bad rewards in GRB, the only thing you can laugh at is your own skill issue.
I don´t play with boosters. I stopped activating them years ago.
I am able to earn about 500k SL / hour consistantly in GRB on a bad day, while I get about 100k SL per hour of playing ASB with a win and best score.
Now that was me. First from both teams with a 3:1 KD with the highest score. I can only imagine other people in that lobby being actually in the negative or getting 0SL thanks to the premium account cap. The “rewards” are unreasonably low.
Useful action has to be removed ASAP. It deters good players from playing the mode and it promotes passive play in other players. There is no upside for having useful action mechanic. Gaijin, if you wanna curb botting, then focus them specifically. Don´t make the game worse for everyone. The genuine players are the ones keeping botters in check during the events while being paid less than a minimum wageslave SL wise… Because once you get even the real people to stop playing ASB, who is gonna prevent the bots from botting?
Unfortunately I think you are right.
First they took away historical matchmaker from RB. Then they reduced timer from 45m to 25m and increased ticket bleed. Sub nation copy pasta then relaxed MM even further into civil war matches. After the recent patch, half the games you spawn in the air. The latest meisterschtick (and last straw for me) was making lobbies 16v16.
ARB is now just Arcade with 1 life. It´s the main reason I switched to ASB.
The arcadification of ARB and intentionally griefing ASB players hints that Gaijin is heading into unification of the mods. They will finish transforming ARB into Arcade 2.0 with a mix of AB and RB. Arcade and SIM will then be canceled to save on running costs and to funnel all players into this one mode.
This decision will be probably triggered by reaching a specific player threshold with an excuse of queue times and that “nobody plays AB and SB anyway”. If you look at Steam DB, the game has lost a quarter of concurrent players in the first half of this year.

I understand reward for gunkills in WWII era piston fighters, because it needs some skills. But for couple buttons missile launch with using arcade SAS, no.
I’m sure, at least half of sim players come to sim from AB/RB to fly top jets. They skipped hardcore piston aircraft and now ask for rewards…

I just want to fly my F4U-4B, F8F, F7F (I havnt even bothered to try flying it after seeing the F4U’s cost), F9Fs, F2H-2 in games where the enemy team has skilled and active players that provide a even-odds challenge without going broke, and ideally make a sufficient profit to acquire new planes on-par with ARB.
Sometimes I was bored in sim and managed to fly very close to enemy aircraft. He didn’t even hear or look at me, just flew straight, not suspecting that I could shoot him point blank.
It’s impossible to happen in RB because of external camera, external sound and markers on everything, even on missiles!
Most of players act like bots when they fly to target. Even skilled players often fly straight and don’t look behind shoulder.
You just need to press two buttons to kill.
Guys with a lot of kills in round just shoot down straight-flying bombers or attackers that bomb bases and then ask for reward “because it’s a SIM”.

I think the rewards in SB are sufficient.
9/10 vehicles I have, I researched and bought playing Air Sim mostly (sometimes ground sim).
If there is not enough SL, you just need to be careful and not lose the plane.
If you came not to play, but to grind, then this mode is not for you.
Well, it depends.
Recently, I flew the Su-25 and was able to assault ground units. There were no conflict zones on the map, just convoys. Within an hour, only two convoys appeared, giving me a total of about 1,000 points.
Typically, you don’t have such a comfortable situation and are constantly facing the threat of being outnumbered by enemies. This usually means you earn far fewer points and much less final outcome, especially with the high probability of being frequently taken down.
If you’re flying fighter planes, you need to meet the 15-minute cycle; otherwise, you could end up with low or even negative profit, even with a kill/death ratio above 1.
The majority of players go to sim mode to farm events and earn new vehicles (right after update), with only a few focusing on skill.
If the gameplay were built around enjoyment rather than skill, more people could enjoy the sim mode and the whole game in general.

It means that even in this ideal situation you can get really low outcome. As I understand, you should collect at least 500 points for 15-minutes cycle to get maximum reward.
I have collected 1000 points for an hour, which is twice less than in ideal situation.
Now imagine how much would I get if it were regular session, when enemy outnumbers you, so you cannot assault properly (ground units) + enemy constantly kills you.
It’s 1050 for the max reward of 92% of what the statcard says iirc.
The sim SL economy is my main complaint. The respawn costs are way too high for most rank IV-VI planes, and you don’t earn much more SL than you do at lower BRs. I need to play RB in order to just pay for sim.
