Sabers are great jets that give you nothing but rage to play because constant uptiers

You mean like how the F-86 and MiG-15 are CURRENTLY? Insanely overpowered?

No, I’m pointing out how meaningless it is and that uptiering will have ripple effects all the way to 12.7 because of how bad the compression is right now.

You move them up and they start struggling hard. Why do you only look in one single direction?

Why do you not see that when they downtiered the MiG-15/F-86 as of LAST year that the MiG-15/F-86 were the BEST jets at their OLD BR and they DIDNT downtier anything else that needed it MORE than the MIGs and sabres?

The buffs, in face of the overall compression…

Sweetie you’re the one who’s been consistently failing to understand the most basic point of my argument which is that moving up those two Sabres and MiGs means the entire rank of aircraft will have to be adjusted causing problems to shift in a different direction. There’s nothing for me to defend here. I don’t favor one jet over another. Unlike you I’m able to control my impulses and keep my personal biases in check.

So when you run out of anything meaningful to say you turn to elitism and insults. Classic. FYI I do play air RB but only at the higher tiers because props take too long.

all these ppl fighting about compression when the one and done solution is to just shrink the matchmaking range to 0.7

Not at all. It’s a very simple formula. Look at a BR bracket. Find the planes that dominate it. Move them up. Choose another and repeat. There will be niche cases that this doesn’t cover (IE planes that are incredibly difficult to balance), but those can be dealt with case by case. Ideally, you want the BR bracket to be balanced, even if that means some planes within it are objectively worse than the average. Far better than a balanced BR bracket with planes that are better, which get to dominate it.

Because this issue has been shouted from the rooftops for years at this point, even partially leading to the review bombing campaign two years ago, and it has achieved almost nothing. The closest we’ve seen to a win is the all aspect missile being moved up. That’s it.

Gaijin occasionally raises the maximum BR, but only to accomedate new vehicles being added at the higher end. Gaijin has zero intention of a global decompression. I have my theories as to why.

So rather than taking the win, you want everyone to suffer until the impossible happens? Again, based on the entire history of the game, we’re not likely to see global decompression at any time soon. The closest we can come is to move select problem vehicles up, and you’re dismissing that as not good enough. The result being that no improvements are made and everyone continues to suffer.

See above.

According to illogical Gaijin logic, f-86a-5 is one of the weakest vehicles in 8.0BR, which should be buffed further down to 7.7

in a similar level of Vampires. :/

In Gaijin’s balancing.
British, French, and Jewish people pay taxes for playing too good
US get subsidies from those taxes being played too badly.

Yep, and people like this troll enable it by fully not understanding the meta and having bad takes on balance. The smart people get drowned out by the hordes of uninformed masses tbh

Then you’ll have the problem that minor nations face where very good players will drive the BRs up too much and make it insufferable for new ones just reaching them.

No it hasn’t been “shouted from the rooftops”. Almost everyone only asks for new vehicles. Not real change. There’s no traction for what the game actually needs. Change the message and gaijin will be forced to acknowledge it.

We’re not talking about a global decompression. Only 7.7 to 12.7

This wouldn’t be a win. gaijin won’t follow through on full decompression without a structured roadmap shared with players. If the review bombing forced gaijin to create a proper roadmap (for a while) for changes players wanted, it proves that they can make large scale changes to the game like jet decompression.

you have to make each and every single people who profit off this game on a scale above every employee in Gaijin Entertainment and Gaijin Distribution swallow a gallon of JP-4 first before they even consider massive changes for good my guy.

my man

Well not all in one update obviously. They’d have to create a roadmap for it and share it with players like they did after the review bombing. It’s up to us to give feedback and make sure they stick to it.

Excuse me while I bust a couple of ribs laughing at you

I have the, perhaps slightly silly, idea that whoever would be in charge of this would have the smallest clue what they’re doing. Or know how win rate curves work.

Your proposal also requires, this, by the way. The only difference is mine can happen faster, is less permanent, and will be constantly updated. Rather than the idea of just doing one big pass and letting it shake out from there.

During the review bombing, decompression was one of the most frequent complaints in players reviews, just behind the grind. And it’s a commonly held opinion everywhere I see this game talked about online.

Gaijin focuses on adding new vehicles not because it’s highly demanded, it’s because it makes them money. More vehicles means more RP being required, it means more premium sales, it means new flavor of the month vehicles people feel a rush to grind, it means more FOMO events they can exploit. Decompression earns them nothing, and so it’s a secondary focus. Actually, because it might increase queue times, it’s a negative focus.

You’re splitting hairs. Large scale decompression of any kind is not in Gaijin’s interest.

A BR bracket being decompressed isn’t a win in the battle to decompress the game? Do I have this right?

You can go ahead and try to whip up another review bomb to force Gaijin to completely rework the BR spread in a way that actually hurts their bottom line, while I push them to do something they’re already doing. We’ll see who gets results first.

Good luck getting any group of people to agree on a large scale decompression roadmap, by the way. It’s why balance is such a contentious issue, everyone has their own opinions and experiences.

Arguing about the plane BR lead you to nowhere. Your issue is an issue of overly extensive matchmaking range and how great 1.0 BR is when it comes to performance. what you need is not BR changes, what you need is narrower matchmaking changes, you and I and everyone in this thread and in this forum altogether will benefit more if matchmaking range is shortened to 0.7, that is literally the final solution to the goddamned “full uptier” terror in any plane known to man. It is reasonable for say, MiG-23 to fight Phantom with PD, but it is not reasonable for Flogger to get flogged by MiG-29 that is made specifically to be better than it.
