with that after the wall they could also change the matchmaker to smaller matches of 6v6 or 4v4/ 3v3
that one affects Balanced BRs too much imo
Not really, like this there’s more chance for player to actually stay longer in the game because you’d notice meaningful but workable performance difference at .7 uptier, at 1.0 uptier you’re utterly useless.
100%
Not only that, the RP/SL rewards from staying alive and winning a 10-15 minute match in Rank 5 and 6 are exponentially greater than playing 2 or 3 matches over the same time time and exchanging your plane with an opponent after 1 or 2 kills 3 minutes into a match.
I guess it’s just something you’ll learn to love once you get better at the game
Not something you learn from statpadding in 5.7 - 6.3 US
What?
t’d solve the problem of subsonics facing supersonics
No, it wouldn’t? How is uptiering JUST the F-13 and the PFM out of the 9.3 bracket going to do that?
Nope. You can’t read confirmed. Completely different message is presented there but you want to “win” the argument so you’ll intentionally misrepresent what someone says to do so. Think that isn’t obvious?
The ENTIRE point is that you HAVE to play this way on jets without flares, but that it is VERY MUCH a playstyle that WILL NOT enable you to win games because of how FORCE MULTIPLIERS work. While you’re off J/Oing in atmosphere the rest of your team is dying.
you didn’t read the rest of the comment
please try again
Matchmaking wall did NOTHING but bring trouble. Like playing 8.7-9.0? Not any more!
All the wall did was make a new top tier where that top tier (9.7) could not see uptiers and THEREFORE 8.7-9.3 could NOT see downtiers either. On top of that, it made 10.0 jets unplayable as well! Since they ALSO couldn’t see ANYTHING but uptiers. Nowadays with there being more BRs than just 10.3 (which was the current top tier at the time) that means the entirety of 10.0-10.7 will be also pointless to play because they will see NOTHING but 11.0
It’s a shitty half baked “solution” that doesn’t solve anything.
If I may ask, how would someone play boom and zoom under your rules? I thought boom and zoom was getting to high alt and picking off planes below you who are lower energy or ditrscted.
How
Yeah, artificial walls just break the mm.
I’m your huckleberry.
What?
Go play flareless planes at 9.7-10.3 aggressively and lemme know how it went. You play the plane according its capabilities and situation in the battle. It has nothing to do with passive/aggressive. People who play overly aggressive right from the bat without evaluating the situation with a plane that doesn’t have flares just die early on because the player on enemy team who keeps a little distance for the furball to develop will just missile your ass as an easy free kill. Positional awareness about enemy planes is so much more important when you don’t have flares to rely on at 10.0-10.3, it forces a more passive play style.
If you can’t wrap your head around that, it’s no wonder you’re here screeching the F4C should move down in BR so it can lolstomp on 8.7s 20% of the time
winning dogfights against low tier jets isn’t difficult, its easy. You can do that with a few months of experience.
And just because one can make flareless planes work it does not mean they should have to fight all aspect missiles.
Equal chances to everyone also reduces the inequality that mach2 jets bring into korean war mm
They are not required, they just make the plane fit your balls to the wall play style. I spaded the Nesher solo while it was 10.3 and exclusively as a fighter and while my stats aren’t great on it (170:52 with probably my worst win rate), it’s not a useless/unplayable plane just because it doesn’t have flares. And this was during the F4S time, so more often than not I’d find myself in 11.3 games for added joy of fighting 21bis and mig23s.
And that’s a Nesher, which outside of so-so speed doesn’t have much at all… you think I go right in and headon the enemy team to be relevant early game? Hm
Go play flawless planes at 9.7-10.3 aggressively and lemme know how it went. You play the plane according its capabilities and situation in the battle.
You, like everyone else here, misunderstand the point. The point is not that you SHOULDN’T play these planes this way, it’s that the planes themselves FORCE you to, and by doing so (playing passively) you just play worse than if you were able to actually participate. You are fully reliant on teammates and for the early stages of the battle you are useless flying around doing nothing waiting for opportunities. Therefore, FORCE MULTIPLIERS kick in when their team starts killing your team because your team started down 1 jet.
Passive = waiting around with no flares waiting for opportunities
“Aggressive” (This isn’t binary. It isn’t just “passive” or “aggressive”. There is a middle ground.) Play leads to your team gaining the force multiplier advantage and coming out on top.
I repeat, for the 37th time, it is NOT about “taking every head-on”, “going straight into the furball” or any other contrived scenaro y’all want to make up. It’s about not participating in the fight until it’s already close to decided.
