if any of y’all could read it would have been clear I only brought up the whole defyn argument because one of you tried the ol classic “skill issue” and I shut that one down QUICK with me saying a much better player than you disagrees. I don’t give a damn otherwise
It is skill issue though, if you can’t adapt your playstyle to cover your airframe weakness and increase it’s advantage then it’s all on you, an incompetent pilot.
What he is describing and what you have to do to live in these jets without flares is what passive is. IE flying around at altitude or away from the furball waiting for some lucky opportunity to engage without dying. You are actively a wasted slot until you start fighting.
Playing passive = you’re not playing well. period.
People who suggest playing passively are themselves terrible players. You do not want to win. I do. Therefore playing passively is counter-productive.
They could also reimplement the Matchmaking Wall at 9.7 / 9.3 BR or so, and fill out the 50’s 60’s jets to make fairer this would be key since the top BR aircraft have limited slots available to them so they will see less full uptiers into 10.3 / 10.7.
if done right you’ll perform better passively than agressively because you get more chances to perform before turning into a flaming wreck after going too far
Wall is useless, we just need to implement ±0.7 matchmaking range where we don’t have to be useless in full uptier, instead we’re fighting plane that takes more skill than Brawn to win.
Not really, like this there’s more chance for player to actually stay longer in the game because you’d notice meaningful but workable performance difference at .7 uptier, at 1.0 uptier you’re utterly useless.
Not only that, the RP/SL rewards from staying alive and winning a 10-15 minute match in Rank 5 and 6 are exponentially greater than playing 2 or 3 matches over the same time time and exchanging your plane with an opponent after 1 or 2 kills 3 minutes into a match.
