YAK 3U is a straight demon i hate that thing beyond anything in the world RE2005s being higher than those things while being worse is criminal. The only thing id say is better maybe is the LF MK9 at 5.7 but that’s only if he doesn’t play energy so it depends defiantly a top 1 or 2 plane tho

the f8f is very undertiered. it goes 680kph on the deck, the FASTEST prop in the game at low alt, even faster than hornet and 51h; it has 30+ m/s climb at low altitude and good turn while it has speed. the main problem is that it compresses, has horrible maneuvering energy retention and overheats, giving it pretty bad ergonomics meaning most arb randoms perform very poorly in it. still, this plane should at the very least be 5.7 since its just miles ahead of everything at its br really

It will lose against anything in headon at such high BR and it will fight jets in uptiers so you won’t be able to abuse your topspeed to win by using advanced game mechanics like AAA!
Also at 5.7-6.0 there are so many scary planes like LF and Ta.152H-1
Also there are extremely strong planes at high altitude like Ki-87, Ki-94, J7W1 that will sideclimb for 10 minutes and you won’t be able to defeat them

F8F really doesn’t care at what BR is at.
5.0 - 5.3 perhaps?

im pretty sure wyvern beats it on deck tho

5.0 is fine where it was before they downed it

nah F8F is around 25kph faster

yeah but you overheat rapidly you cannot sustain that speed for very long at all

wyvern can sit at 400MPH forever basically

when the f8f1 moved down i absolutely thought it was the wrong thing to do lol even with its fragile flight model

That hardly matters cuz the F8F should always be higher, it can just dive on it like its no big deal

how could i forget about mighty ki87 and ki94 filthy high altitude fight forcers!

F8F really begins to lose a lot of horsepower once you get to above 3000 meters. You get a good climbrate but you’re not blessed by Gaijin like the Yak-3s where you have perpetual motion cold fusion reactors as engines to keep your speed. You can really feel yourself slow down Especially as your engine inches really close sub 2000 around that alt range.

The difference is the Yak 1 and Yak 3 are both actually good. the F6F and F8F are both meh.

It’s strange to name the F8F specifically if you want changes for a number of vehicles.

Idk about the A6M2, however P-51C is better than the F8F. The F6F-5N is just overtiered, it’s bad to compare F8F to an overtiered prop and use that to say the F8F is undertiered.

Spitfire, P-47, Yak-3/9, Typhoon, Bf 109 G-2, La 5/7, you can prolly group the F4U-4 in aswell.

Fw 190D-9 is faster with stronger guns. Yes the F8F outturns it, however neither the Fw 190 nor the F8F will really be outturning anything else anyways.

If both P-51C and F8F-1 shared the same BR, I would choose F8F over P-51C even though F8F-1’s engine is as hot as butter. Either 3.7 or 4.7BR.

I just mentioned that sluggish weird F6F-5N which remains 4.3BR facing F8F-1 is brutal.
I didn’t directly compare it for justifications.

I gotta disagree with you there.

I said the F6F 3.3 is already bad at its own BR, and the F8F is 1.0 higher with rather small upgrades. Kinda like F4U-1C being 2.0 higher than F4U-1A.
