Kinda a moot argument when you’re comparing a jet that can be over 300-400kmh faster than it’s competitors and gain that speed within less than a minute.
Versus an aircraft where at higher altitudes you have to spend several minutes running away to gather separation and the only time you’ll outright outspeed your opponents is 1500m and below.
What keeps it winning and effective in the performance department is that the aircraft can almost helicopter itself around from the huge amounts of horsepower it has at lower altitudes. But even still. If they’re gonna move it up. The armament is completely ineffectual and they need to fix the incendiary chances of .50s because they’re underperforming.
I’m legit surprised how much worse the P-47s have become at this point I feel as if they did something to the flightmodel too because they all now feel even more bricky. This actually hit the D-22, one of my favorites, the worst as you can no longer cash in on your energy and your top-speed is completely middling compared to most of your enemies. Even at 5000m I can barely reach 520kmh and above. I’ve had Bf-109 F-4s and Yaks easily keep pace with shallow yo-yos.
Ah, makes sense. For that reason F6F is even better as a boom-zooming plane, everyone know that heavier planes accelerate better in a dive and have better energy retention.
So I think F8F actually is overtiered. Worse guns, worse boom-zooming potential. Also supposed to tank much less than Hellcat…
We have much better planes at 5.0 like J2M2 or I-225.
What can you do against I-225 on Bearcat? Nothing, only abuse the fact that you are faster at sea level to camp your AF
in a dogfight you out turn 225 it doesnt turn well below 15K ft your engine power is unmatched you can use it effectively to out dogfight your opponents by using verticals
In that claim, with ‘extreme exaggeration’, I mimic your take as “people struggling to fight an upgrade of normal 2.3(Yak-1) at 4.3(Yak-3) is wild”
Oh, don’t quote-mining this part, I don’t think Yak-3 is overtiered.
I really wonder why you keeps make wild takes to bias American planes.
He didn’t tell you both that F8F exclusively, particular go up.
I think he supports ‘sending EVERY undertiered props’ up.
Oh, btw, P-51C or A6M2 fighting against late-war Bearcat is brutal.
And F6F-5N, which is weird. sluggish plane remains 4.3BR.
even if we exclude chronological reasons. F8F-1 should be obviously being higher than F6F-5N.
F8F-1 staying lower BR than Seafire LF Mk.3 is a crime.
even if it does it out performs most 5.0s for example the FW190D-9 at 5.0 is almost near identical counter part only having better high alt performance at the cost of manuverbility and stronger guns
i could only think of 2 that could beat it off my head the MK 9 at 4.3 and the YAK-3 also 4.3 both can be countered by running to your team for assistance oh and i guess G2 since gun buff recently would also be a threat
That means that F8F is weaker than them if you cant win in a 1v1 situation
And they are at a lower BR! I would run away to my team on F8F even from Ki-44-2 from 3.7
And we also have clone premium version of this Ki-44 at 3.0…
So plane that supposed to be uptiered to 5.0 suffers against 3.0 plane???
son im crying you can very easily energy trap many of these planes with the bear cats engine your basically a YAK your engine power at sea level is greater then theres and you can run if there alt advantage
is to big
just bleed there speed by forcing them to turn as you bleed less speed
