I can reliably beat a MiG-29 in the Tornado, despite its missile being far worse than the Sparrow F/M. Just take advantage of Western aircraft having excellent radar angles, allowing you to guide your missile while almost notching at the same time. By staying at an angle, the R-27 missile loses more energy turning toward you, and it also means you’re not running straight into an R-27, while that MiG is likely going head-on into a Sparrow.

Why are you playing the A and not the ADF thats your fault besides if you’re that worried about R-27 just multipath or notch, the Mig-29 will literally never beat you in WVR.
Lmao I tried and if mig flies low too then you cant multipath and if it gets within like 5km you cant notch (not that notching even works, it has iog so you just dead anyways if not the first one then second one gets you)

Tbh I am beyond confused with modern jets and their missiles. Which missiles are shit and which ones are lit? Which are best for close range and which for long range? And what is close and what exactly is long range?
The only mostly consistent missiles I experienced are the Red Tops, lmao. And the Sea Vixen is still very inconsistent due to uptiers sometimes.

Good luck in something like a Tornado F3. Its very hard to get into an effective notch quickly and the BOL barely work due to the fake nerfs. Tornado Gr1 has an easier time of it because of Large calibre chaff, but depend on the aspect, that can be tricky.
I’ve also been playing the Mirage F1C-200 recently and that thing has a shockingly bad RWR. Its tricky to know quite where a threat is coming from or what the threat is
Its probably the easiest in the Tornado you can literally notch while guiding a skyflash
