AMX M4 and AMX 13 br changes were a mistake. They should go back to 6.7.
- The EBR 1954. can’t even reach its supposed strongpoint speed offroad, and on many maps, tracked vehicles maintain a higher average speed, thus fair better. this also should go back to 6.7

There isn’t even one safe argument where its fair to put AMX M4 at 7.0, T-44-100 is at 7.0 for USSR, it has similar pen, twice as long reload BUT better mobility, APHEBC! shell, a 12.7mm MG, twice as much armor in most points of the tank, AND it moves faster than the AMX M4.
The AMX-13 is also obvious ragebait or mental disability from gaijin, because in what world is it fair for AMX-13 to be the same BR as a T-92 light tank, the T-92 gets APDS, same speed, only slightly less armor which doesnt matter for a light tank, lower profile, ONE more crew member, a 12.7mm MG, aswell as a stabilizer. This is just ridiculous.

Mostly agree but buffing the APDS pen on the 20mm can’t happen because that ammo is prolific across many guns in many nations and randomly boosting its stats for one tank is a dangerous precedent. If you have any proof the gun achieved a higher muzzle velocity or something with that same ammo, you’re free to present it.

I named multiple points of why it shouldnt be there as it has less armor than tanks of both 6.7 and 7.0 BR, less mobility, and less survivability.
You’ve yet to name one good quality of the AMX M4, and if you name the “penetration” we’ll see something akin to a meltdown from you on how OP france is.

- while no APHE it still has a good reliable solid shot that can go through the front of , I think any 6.7 tanks.
- great gun handling
- decent round not great or bad.
EDIT : Just a caveat BTW, the T-44-100 may be faster in a straight line, but it has more than 6 less HP/PT which combine with its weight means its not more mobile, the AMX m4 is faster than it to its top speed for example.
Less mobility than the T-44-100 and armour, better reload, more gun depression, faster turret traverse rate. as well as a substantially faster reload.
however I have seen some folks on about russian bias say T-44-100 should be 7.3 at this point. However that I dont have an opinion on.
What 6.7 medium tank has the armour and mobility combination the AMX m4 does? It’s armour isn’t something incredibly but it’s still there it can save it from 90MM aphe, and the likes of those rounds frontally.
OFC not if they take the time to aim, however amx M4 has substantially better gun handling than most tanks at that aBR so its more likely to get the first shot off.
So yeah there’s myriad of reasons why it moved up in BR mate. Acting like there isn’t says a lot.

- Autoloader is a nuisance more than help, reffer to T-44-100 for proof.
- It has no armor, what are you on? The mobility is subpar for its current BR (20km/h less speed than most vehicles that have more armor)
- Solid shot that has 11.76kg shell, ever heard of volumetric calc failures? They only happen with AP/APC/APCBC shells due to angle of attack, server not being able to process a shot etc.
- The gun handles very poorly on stop shot attacks which are about 40% of all your shots.
- its APCBC with no HE filler, reffer to T-44-100 Which is a TECH TREE VEHICLE if you need proof that its bad.

To add onto this, the Charioteer has a similar gun with similar mobility but more frontal armor than the AMX M4 lmao, and it sits at 6.0-6.3 comfortably.
So why is M26 better?
Its not better its rocking a 5.7 gun at 6.7
Sta 3 has a better gun, sure, but lacks any form of protection at all as well as is pretty tall, and not exceptionally mobile
It has no gun depression, comparable mobility, worse turret traverse and a worse reload.
still rockin the 17 pounder gun found at what? 4.7 for britain on the firefly? while it foes get APDS that APDS can barely damage a panther frontally while the amx M4 can cut clean through it.
As well as this the APDS for the 17 pounder has less post pen damage, ( beleive its been bug reported )
centurion also has piss poor mobility in comparisson.

the gun is arguably better as its the larger 20 pounder found on the 7.7 Centurion Mk3 , however the charioteer, has no gun depression also it **has less armour than the amx M4 where on gods earth did you get it has more from? **
