Sorry to come over cross, but what do you mean with “what a mess you have here”?!? We all have our jobs and functions, and can’t really meddle with issues outside of our fields and responsibilities. So much should be obvious, companies work like that. GM’s don’t mess with technical issues, devs/tech mods don’t tackle chat moderation.
As to who to inform: Write a well documented bug report, just like everybody else, or if the report already exists, support with clicking “I have the same issue” and/or add helpful comments to it if still open. That’s the one and only correct way to go about this.
Some bloke just racked 20 kills while being shot down once using this exploit. How the hell is this still allowed? This topic is like a year old already.
You can change the sound files in this game. They literally exploit this “”“”““bug””“”“” by using some easily audible sound as the enemy plane’s sound, then open their cockpit and follow their ears.
There is one particular player who has been doing this for literal years and the game master’s just can’t give a damn about it. I report then the bloke just keeps mowing down the enemy team with a K/D ratio of 10:1.
Change sound files. Choose a night map with jets. Keep low. Open cockpit then rake all the kills. And literally none of the GMs give a damn.
Then it’s not an “open canopy exploit” anymore now, is it? If you have to MODIFY THE GAME FILES to make it work, then the issue isn’t the open canopy lol
No, it doesn’t work at all if you don’t modify your game files. You can be behind someone and they’ll only hear you/you’ll only hear them when you’re basically touching them.
I’m playing Ground SB after F-4E, MiG-27K and Su-17M4 joined 10_2 lineups, the amount of players that flying with canopy open is crazy, jets and helicopters, I can say it is 80% of players I’m seeing are opening the canopies of their aircraft to get the hearing advantage, which means sound penalty of Gaijin is not doing the job. And if some people are changing sound files to enhance this illegal advantage then it is even worse.
Note: I personally actually even like the center bar with mirror of certain Russian aircraft, as they provide a good reference in dogfights. But this applies for VR only, admittedly…
