Airfields require half way down the map before launch of Groms.
Gotta account for death wobble, and other maneuvers.
No weapon grants you safety in air sim for bombing airfields.

More than likely western Spaa won’t be able to counter this at all, it will rely on cas since we don’t get the miracle radar like pantsir or anything with near the range.
At lease this is how it is with my SU25SM3 except I can only launch 4 and have almost no way of defense, this plane will do it all including engaging other CAS bvr.

Bases should just be removed from the game entirely, it has just trained players to be awful (myself included for the start of my WT air journey). Give more rewards for hitting ground targets/add some new stuff.
Problem with CAS is that in GRB where it is meant to be played the RP/SL rewards are so shitty that getting a single base and then dying is way more RP than you would doing well in a ground battle with the horrible modifiers there, you would need to kill literally 10 players in GRB with a plane to get the same RP you get in 5 minutes zombing in ARB.
Bases are fine. They provide objectives to predict enemy flight path with when there’s no ground battle or air superiority objective taking place
If you see a base taken out, you know where to look for the enemy and have some pvp.
Bases have constant uptime, so you have constant pvp opportunities.
