Nuclear Escalation: Testing the Upgraded Southeastern City!

i mean i guess but its way more superior having GNSS capability making turning off radar useless if they dont move

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

The S-300 is able to engage 6 targets at a time and the Patriot is able to target 9 at a time since their tracking radars are PESA radars that can track a few targets at a time. And the BUK and BUK-M1 can target 2 vehicles at a time since each launcher has its own radar, and there are 2 launchers.

You would have a point there if it actually worked. Right now, IOG and GNSS on anti radiation missiles do not work at all past about 5-10km range. And Gaijin thinks the non functional GNSS on the AGM-88G is not a bug, but actually realistic. And same with IOG on all other anti radiation missiles.

Straight from the big man himself:

Because apparently the ability for modern planes and anti radiation missiles to determine the distance to a radar by using it’s changing perspective with a little bit of trigonometry doesn’t actually exist.

This would actually be really cool

Oh, well damn i didnt know that, pretty interesting

I’ve did some testing on custom NE map other day, and it takes about 8 seconds for ARM seeker to switch from “TRK” to “IOG” when it loses track of target. During this time seeker “locks up” in elevation, gathering enormous error on target location. Using Kh31PD as example, as it travels ±1100m/s in its terrain following trajectory, so mostly horizontal, it gains over 8km of error. When IOG kicks in, it is actually very accurate due to 0.05m/s drift, just 8km later.

And in datamine there’s this nifty line that seems to be responsible for that:
“prolongationTimeMax”: 7.5,

present on all ARMs as I’ve glossed over datamines.

Which means, in GRB turning radar off for 10 seconds should throw off all ARMs off unless missile already entered final descent and flying straight at offending radar dish, where it is unlikely to gather any significant error.

would be so cool, naval strikes first before the land based ones

but they gotta fix naval rewards for that (they wont)

this would essentially be the map 256x256km

Unfortunately, there’s a bug with the battle join mechanic—it keeps adding me to ongoing battles that are already nearing the end. It doesn’t make any sense—what can I possibly do on a losing team for just a few minutes of gameplay?

PS: I’ve checked the option in the battle settings to prevent me from being added to ongoing battles, but it seems this setting doesn’t work in Nuclear Escalation mode.

Could be quite fun ngl

plus, Alaska map already exist too but only ground, they just need to fit more with this expanded one

Yes because the mode is so crap that people try to find the “right” match to play and they’ll jump from game to game after a point.
Also …MANY if not a very heavy majority , just despise the nuke phase and they just jump off as soon as that phase starts. That is the thing that is the main reason you get “near end” matches. And once nukes get rolling, it is 5 minutes games.
Also , balance… the mode needs its own balance. But GJ is incapable of doing this… so , yes people will leave any match that it not balanced for them . It’s not an Air to Air Mode, a slight uptier that gives you the next set of AAAs might make the match unplayable for some planes. Aka, whatever has only unguided weapons , over 11.3 is just semi-useless . Everything you throw gets intercepted and there are enough AAA to give you good chances with rockets.
I mean i’ve killed things from 7-7,5 km with FFARs , but for most people that would be plain boring (And it is) and you have to find the geometry of doing this between all the SAMs and players etc, because you have to be a bit higher…
Why do this when you can just pick a downtier and play all game properly?
Today every match is 12.3 and i’m in a 11.3 MF.1CG. I have NOTHING to do in 12.3. I don’t even have M2s to say i’ll sneak some kills.
So just play enough to not get penalty and leave. Why i should play GJs trash of a balance when i can just avoid it?
And if they cut that off… why play at all? They haven’t even try the minor crap of an adjustment to balance their MM for the crapmode.

i have a big big big brain idea

we use this as NE map

and we ALSO INTEGRATE Ground/infantry battles with it, those will take place in Diomede!
naval can also be integrated…

essentialy an entire combined arms map!

Actual big-brain move. Lets players play Naval too. It would bring the whole community together.
