Not really, you can notch&chaff the aim120 when it gets close and the missile goes dumb, while the ER will keep following the predicted path, then you can require the target when you get out of the notch and your ER is still useful.
Of course the aim120 is better overall, but not because of long range bvr fighting

You are forgetting that the f14 keeps the F4 defensive right off the bat. At range, the F14 is just better. The Fakour maneuvers well enough when at speed and the F4 will be losing much more speed and altitude every time it defends

I didn’t say it was better. In a 1v1 it doesn’t even matter because no one is getting killed at that range, the fight always ends up at about 5km range, and sometimes a merge, unless you are talking about inexperienced players.

the f4f ice has better acceleration than the f14a and similar top speeds, the maneuverability is definitely won by the f14a but only at low speed with the wings fully swept (leaving you a slow easy target) and I never said it shouldn’t be 13.0, it just needs a new rwr and r73 the rwr is the same one that is on the f4j/s
You can fully extend your wings at close to transonic speeds, and even without them fully extended you still have much better energy retention, and higher acceleration at high speeds + higher top speed.
without extending your wings the f4f will eat your lunch, it has the agile eagle slats and low speed acceleration is much more important in a dogfight
With all those upgrades, you are pushing it into 13.3 territory IMHO, and by 13.3 territory, I mean there’s a bunch of current 13.0s that should be put there, all the modern 13.0 fox3 platforms except the harriers, the su-27/j11 and maybe the F-15A. The current 13.0s that are actually balanced there are the french f-16A, gripenA, M4K, F-14B and maybe the J8F. Btw the yak141 should go to 13.0, it’s too strong at 12.7.
