The F-14A IRIAF should be able to carry two more ARH missiles (6 in total) and there are acknowledged bug reports about this.

I suggest the fatter as well, just so we can have a complete Iranian load out.
And don’t forget it’s RWR, Radar, and weight improvements. And it also got R-73. If you look up “Iran testing R-73 on F-14” You can see the R-73 is almost always addressed as the new weapon the IRIAF was compatible with, and barely see the R-27R-1. Now I love the R-27Rs, I but would trade them in a heartbeat for the R-73.
are you talking about that older fat Iranian guy?
If you have solid proof on those, you should raise a bug report about it. Nothing is going to get added without a acknowledged bug report.
You’re going to need images, primary and secondary sources.
We already got primaries for the radar improvement and second hand accounts by US officials, the information however was too imprecise to use for a bug report. The radar was allegedly improved by 50% to 100% but Gaijin obviously needs a specific value before implementation.
It’s more of a fact that the radar did indeed undergo upgrades, whether the same can be said for the RWR and other subsystems is up for question however.
There was also a proposed plan to retrofit F-14As in Iranian service with Russian equipment such as the Pastel RWR and other things alike iirc
In its current form, it is deserving of 13.0.
There are a lot of bad players with negative kdr overall that actually do well in it because it is so broken at 12.7.
If it gets improvements, like r73s, it will go to 13.3
I think it could sit at 13.0 with r73, I mean give the f14b aim9m and it’s a side grade, irrcm missiles are already normal for 13.0 so it wouldn’t be anything,
Sorry, but this is nonsense. The plane is not equal to other 13.0s. Any upgrade it gets it’s completely warranted at 13.0. Putting an F-14A at 13.3 how ever you try to twist it is completely unacceptable in this current state of BRs.
Problem is we cant find any documents of fatter.
They says it has 40km range but, impossible
Given the circumstances of Iranian information, thats not an easy task. Gaijin knows this, which is why they modeled the Fakour and Sedjeel after what the Iranians stated their performance is. It’s very clear that Iran isn’t keen on keeping records or sharing them like the other countries.
The Aim-9M also has a “40km Range” on it. It’s not accurate. If anything, thats an indication it has around the range of an Aim-9L or M. So around 3.5km at best.
who said 9M has 40km range 😭
The IRIAF F14 still has fakours over any 13.0. The best radar missiles the B has are the sparrows, phoenixes are way too slow to be useful.
The problem with the IRIAF F-14 at 13.0 is that it has a very strong ability while the rest is meh. But it deserves that BR because of that ability to bring fakours.
If you don’t want to face higher BRs just play the normal F-14A, it’s the same platform but with worse missiles, you don’t get the fakours or the R-27Rs, but it’s a decently balanced 12.7.
You’re just comparing the potential range of the Fakour-90 to other Fox 3 missiles instead of the effectiveness in all environments, the AIM-120 and MICA-EM are far more effective and more versatile missiles. The IRIAF F-14A shouldn’t be sitting at 13.0 unless Gaijin plans to introduce something new to it like a new RWR or radar upgrades.
A good RWR is essential at this BR and the IRIAF F-14A just doesn’t have it, it’s like going blindfolded into a sword fight whilst having the longest and generally speaking best sword out of the lot.
Aka, you’ll be slaughtered
The Fakour-90 also inherited the same seeker as the AIM-54A in-game since information on the Fakour-90 and other Iranian domestically produced missiles is pretty scarce, and because of this it also makes evading this missile laughably easy.
The AIM-120 and other modern ARH missiles also recently received a chaff rejection buff, this didn’t apply for the Fakour-90 however making the perceived range difference negligible as most RWRs at top tier can alert a player of what, when and where missiles are launched.
The 40km of range for the AIM-9M is in perfect optimal conditions, in theory it could be achieved but is incredibly unlikely (and basically impossible) and a more consistent range would probably be around 3km. Many missiles have their range displayed in perfect conditions, this isn’t anything new.
Do you know the other fox3 missiles you’re mentioning are 13.3+ on decently maneuverable platforms right?
Obviously I am comparing it to other 13.0s like the early flankers, F-15A’s, F-16A’s with IR irccm only, M4k, etc
at 13.0 with fox 3 we have, f4f ice, ja37di, av8b(the worse brit one too), j8f and the kfir C10. These are all flatly superior with better flight models and missiles besides the rwr on the ja37 which is actually worse, the radar on the F-14 is worse than all of these besides the ja37. I honestly don’t understand why you’re selling the fakour90 as equal to medium range fox 3s, it is not, (the r27er is a better missile for normal gameplay) and has a different use entirely it is for long range and is not good closer than 5 miles with the seeker just being worse it’s literally just a better aim54 which you can literally always avoid by just paying attention to your rwr and flying 90 degrees for a few seconds, it is not a super missile, and the platform will be DOA at 13.0 unless somethings changes. It being an event vehicle is a poor excuse as to why it should be rendered useless.
it’s actually already modeled in game files, together with F-14A IAF, but somehow it didn’t come together.
