Aircraft operating from high alt can see significantly further than a ground based radar.
An AWAC for example can see large aircraft at 500 ish km, smaller aircraft like fighters around 400 km
CAPTOR-E on the Typhoon is 200+ km. (Only known figure is “more than 200km”). So likely more than enough to get the most out of the Meteor
it would be worth grinding Germany just for skynex and USA just for Cram trucks
I feel like if they do that and eventually add playable Patriots and S-300s they should push back the ground spawn a bit for only SPAA on a lot of the maps. Mainly because some SAMs suffer on certain maps due to the lack of cover and how small the maps are.
Basically, though there are tricks, like bouncing the radar of the atmosphere, the Type 45s Destroyers radar has a range of around 400km
There is a good amount of options to let more nations have their own Pantsir/CS/SA5 equivalent when it comes to ordnance interception

yes destoryer radars range of AN/SPY-6 which is not confirmed but said to be 300-600KM would love to see those in game or a weaker Arleigh Burke-class destroyers (Flight I or II) used by players
more cover would be nice and camo mesh for AA

I mean, that’s probably neat against helis and a limited amount of incoming A2G weapons, but what I mean when I’m saying Pantsir/CS/SA5-like is something with a gun that’s capable of reliably shooting down incoming bombs and missiles.

That’s cool, but you are extremely limited when it comes to defending against missile spam.
I’m not against adding it, but I’d prefer seeing vehicles that don’t need to rely on missiles to counter incoming missiles.
