That’s pushing the max range of a meteor, and you’d have to not defend in any way for the couple minutes of flight time that would have, meanwhile you can just drip ordinance and turn around
When you account for the fact that an enemy aircraft playing it safe will stay within friendly AA cover, which for the modern stuff you’d be targeting with SLAM-ER would have 100-200km range, the enemy fighter could be as close as 50km from you, and remember you are going for a max range shot which demands high altitude where the enemy’s missiles work better, so you would still be at risk using SLAM-ER vs JASSM-ER which has no risk to the pilot at all
Ok sure, on a technical level you’re at higher risk, but realistically it makes little difference, and we’re never getting to that point regardless
Well, people said that about supersonic aircraft, then stealth aircraft, then EFT/Rafale, so I think we will get to that point
Also, you are overlooking how there are long range missiles like R-37M, PL-17, and AIM-174B that will effectively be able to reach a SLAM-ER carrier but not a JASSM-ER carrier. I think such missiles will come at a similar time as stuff like a full capabilities SLAM-ER (they may add a nerfed one sooner)
C variant is what should come since it has a IIR seeker
But the B has little heat sub munitions that have their own seekers and just hit everything in an area which is pretty cool

No, F-15K uses SLAM-ER operationally but F-15E doesnt (was carried on a USAF f-15E but whether or not it could be fired is disputable)
If SK is independent then that means no SLAM-ER for US F-15’s, unless they do add them which would be ideal, which is what I was getting at with original post

it has multimode seeker, with SAL and ARHaswell as GNSS, IIR only would very much be placeholder.

the majority of Aircraft with variable ordenance are Franken planes in Warthunder
take the German Starfighter with Nord AS20 and AS30 but without Komoran or the Fw 190F8 with it’s 30mm cannons that required a Permanent Modification of the Airframe most of which were done to A5s which in game don’t get the 30mm gun as a choice at all
what I want to say is in the end those are all Subjective Dev choices that may only change with a nicely written Suggestion in the suggestions tab

Then Britain can have BAE (and all their conglomerates), Israel can get their military industry projects then Germany can get Rheinmetall and Airbus (plus their conglomerates)
This means the best TTs in game would still not be america so maybe not a great idea to suggest LM and MD to america

spice for israel is my main concern, am a israel main and its depressing seeing other nations ingame get their domestic cas aramanet while israel gets downgradaed copy and paste
