It’s not my fault that you can’t look at the BR rotation table and come up with a single suggestion of your own, instead resorting to insults and vague one-liner responses.
It’s not an ‘excuse’ it’s simply how the battle-rating rotation works… If you actually looked at the table you’d understand how the addition of 12.7 made it a bit messy for 11.0, and how the addition of 13.0 will fix things up a bit. What you’re proposing is radical changes which would hurt the rotation itself or sim as a whole just because you can’t handle a 0.3 BR up tier for a little longer.
12.7 is not more valuable. If all you’ve gathered from my posts are that “12.7 are more valuable than 11.0” then I seriously think you’re the one that need some “good luck” for future thinking attempts… Fitting 11.0 in right now would likely either hurt 11.3 or hurt both EC9/EC10 with tiny brackets which would sacrifice player-count for that entire rotation if anything, 12.7 is always going to be on top anyways.
Best solution if 11.0 is that important would be to remove EC9 from ROT 3 and lower EC10 to 11.3-12.7, you’d essentially make 11.3 unplayable for 2 days just so that 11.0 get’s to be the top-dog once. 11.0 is not unplayable against 11.3, 11.3 is unplayable against 12.7… Do you see the difference? I’m not “protecting” 12.7 here. I simply see the reality that Gaijin had a choice to either give 11.0 it’s downtier, which would sacrifice 11.3 completely for that rotation, or temporarily have the 11.0 fight a single BR step higher until 13.0 arrives. Gaijin went with the latter option.
Interesting, I have not played props much so I did not know this was the case. 1.7BR higher certainly doesn’t work at 9.0+. I wonder if other prop players agree with you

IIRC that’s the one without PD radar? It’s definitely not my first choice but Idk if I would call it unplayable, an up tier is an up tier. Like the 10.7 F4E against 11.3 is roughly as hard as most other 2 jets against each-other at a 2 step BR difference. Same with 11.3 Mig23 vs 12.0 F16… I’d rather fight a mig23 in F4E than fight an F16 in a Mig23.
I guess my point is that if we don’t believe an aircraft can fight another aircraft 2 BR steps above them, then we don’t have an issue with the BR brackets, we have an issue with BR compression.
Gaijin has set the 1.0 BR range standard and by doing so they’re basically saying an aircraft at 10.0 can fight both 9.0 and 11.0. Meaning it doesn’t make much sense for us to come asking for smaller BR ranges, instead we should ask for one of the aircraft to be raised/lowered in BR, or have the whole range decompressed.
probably not. many people cry when they don’t have an superior F4U-4B available. xD
simply put. you have a 6.0 prop with more power, energy and speed but you don’t use your superiority. then the enemy suddenly has a good chance in the 4.0 plane.
the best example is the japanese A6M Zero. you go into battle with a 5.3 Mustang against a 3.3 Zero and you don’t determine the battle with your superiority. instead, you leave it to the Zero to determine the battle and then you probably lose.
but it’s not just about skills. there are many combat situations in prop battles where you can get lucky and have epic moments with an inferior fighter. but not permanently but always temporarily. as soon as Greek Air Force comes with his F4U-4B the luck is over.

I understand the wish for a 11.0 rotation (would like to have that as well), but frankly speaking I don’t think the 11.0 planes suffer too much from having to compete in 11.3 matches in their best rotation.
At least with the 11.0ers I fly I don’t feel really at a disadvantage…
Also, I’m pretty sure the rotations/brackets will be readjusted once we get the Fox 3 Update and the expected BR extension…
11.3 is bearable and there were 10 or so games yesterday throughout the day, compared to 2-3 on 11.7 rotation, but still it’s tiring to permanently fly defensive cause you got no all aspect/MRM missiles, or you don’t have a radar, or RWR, or something else.
I had some weird encounters with this ‘Greek Air Force’ guy. I’ve only ever heard of him before as some prop player but he recently started playing top-tier it seems with the air superiority jets and he kept trying to team-kill me, 2 of the times with guns… One of the times I managed to dodge out of the way cause I saw him coming on RWR. Never spoke to or played with the guy before this happened… He also has like a 0.45 K/D with the Su27 which is odd for someone with over 11.000 hours in sim. (Don’t mean to trash-talk him, just find it odd how someone with 11k hours has 0.45kd in a su27 and team kills blatantly)

I really think the solution here to save sim is to vouch for stuff like better rewards/objectives/controls setups.
Something like that. It’s still a fantastic overall package, we also have to understand that Gaijin also takes CAS and other abilities into consideration with BR’s. And then again, being able to carry 8 missiles is not bad.
How far along Germany/Britain are you btw? I could probably recommend some jets if you wanted to get into some higher tier sim. And if you’re looking for a new tech-tree the J35XS is really enjoyable in sim.
I find the British very interesting. paused for a long time. I didn’t know most of the Jets before the game. Except of course the tornado. I think I would like the GR.1 with the Mig Eater paint job. this famous tornado that bombed the MiG taking off in the Gulf War.
I’m exploring Germany so I can play with old friends again. The usefull action nation sets destroyed our old squadron back then. At that time we combined the USA and Germany as an F-86 team.
now all these East German DDR planes are in the game.

if his wingman GerMit1313 is not there Greek is less dangerous as enemy. you always have to look GerMit there or not. if not, - all fire free on greek and finish him xD
Nice, aside from the MIG19 which is very cool you have not unlocked much that I’m familiar with yet. Harriers are also deadly when you get used to the thrust vectoring. Your event Mig23 is also very good, although I’m not sure what missiles that one get.
Get the Draken this sale, you’ll have the tech tree completed within a week ;). The Viggens are incredibly good and fun jets for sim, you have incredible radar at a low BR, makes it easy to track people down and pretty good armament too with a powerful engine.
We’ll see if he sticks around top-tier. I don’t blame him for trying something new lol, he has a ludicrous amount of hours in props.
If I understand the sale correctly, we will have this Premium time/GE vehicle sale now until the 6th, and then on the 6th the premium packs/vehicles go on sale - this is so that people can’t use the 2500 GE gained from premium packs to buy GE vehicles/premium time on sale. I’m planning on gifting my wingman the MIG23ML next week.
I’ve never understood how people have thousands of hours in games like that… That’s legit like a significant portion of your life… My most played game (DayZ) I have like 700 hours, but on average I have like 100-200 per game.
I did a test flight. I like the Viggen Saab. My F-4E cripple can’t keep up with it. the problem with the F-4E is that there is no second late F-4E from the post-Vietnam era to compete with the late upgraded MiG-21 and 23.
the viggen is good and I like it. but I’ll have to think about it again. because i didn’t really want to give the snail any money. I didn’t want to go shopping again until the snail pays more attention to the sim again. it will probably be a spontaneous camel decision.

I also have quite a few snail hours. But there are also many evenings when I don’t feel like playing snails. Arma Reforger, for example, is getting better and better. I think Arma 4 is going to be a really great thing in the future. but also very hungry for RAM performance.
Honestly I’m really apprehensive about buying stuff like premiums nowadays because I’m afraid Gaijin is just gonna ruin sim somehow, either by changing it for the worse or removing EC… If that were to happen I would not play this game ever again, I don’t enjoy RB or arcade whatsoever. Would be nice to at least know it’s going in the right direction, even if that means only one change per year.

I like to keep my gaming to console and living room, I’d rather not sit at a desk to game like I’m at some office-job. Unfortunately those games are not out on PS5. Hell let loose was very fun though, enjoyed playing as commander.
A lot of players deserve a good reputation for skill but Greek from what I’ve seen isn’t one of them. He largely flies overpowered aircraft such as the LF IX (although not so much since the FM update…) and the as mentioned already F4U-4B… an aircraft with a broken unstallable flight model so he can just pull stick to the nuts and win as the game holds his hand. All F4U pilots are like this because they’re practically using an Arcade FM in Sim. This is also why you see an abundance of them along with other American aircraft online.
The early P-51 can’t stall, the P-40 can’t stall, the P-47’s can’t stall (not sure about later models) you name it. The A7M1 deserved an honourable mention before as well. Nothing like clubbing Mk V Spitfires in that thing.
yes “following the roadmap” doesn’t help us at all because the snail doesn’t speak out about its plans for sim.

I’ve never played HLL as a commander. unfortunately, the german servers are very strict. if I make a mistake there, I’m immediately suspended. I think it’s more relaxed on the english-speaking servers.
I think it’s a good idea to support the sim YouTubers we have, the bigger they get the more influence they will have and it will invite a ton of new players to the game mode which we desperately need. If I understand things correctly YouTubers like Defyn and Lee are in some sort of dev discord server where they can share their thoughts on stuff directly to the devs. Would be great to get a sim player in there.
