I ran it through GPTZero and ZeroGPT, neither said it was AI. Did I do this wrong, or did you just copy+paste their post into a google doc, highlight it yellow, and add a png of the 100% AI meter at the top?
Just using the old noggin, their post didn’t really read like AI, or at least not a typical one.

They probably took the “effective” thickness of the UFP and applied that number to the thickness of the sloped plate.
Wouldn’t be the first time such a goof has happened.
What’s unfortunate is that the SOMUA SM is modeled so badly that it’s basically a whole different vehicle gameplay wise from what it should be, which may prevent Gajin from correcting it. They’d basically need to not sell it anymore and make a new corrected version from scratch atp as its own separate vehicle.

When it was added it had the said 75mm plate istead but someone made a report based on the early requirement paper that stated it should have 150mm UFP. And since back then it was pretty much just worse amx-50(toa100)(for some reason it also had the same turret back then) they changed it over time to what it is nowadays.
And yet this is not what the real tank had. So what Gaijin has implemented is a fantasy vehicle.

It’s an overperforming heavy tank that should reallistically have less armour than AMX-M4 (should have 75mm according to bugreport instead of 150).
Which would make it much more balanced at its current BR, as it would be pretty much in line with other 7.7 tanks then.
It would just be an AMX 50 (100) but worse or equal in every way. Less armor, less mobility, same cannon and reload, slightly bigger, costs 60 usd

You probably just got unlucky and hit the spot where the plates overlap. Most of the turret, you can cut through like butter with the JT
