Navy battles are very annoying atm

I actually do that as standard, and am rather good at it.

That would only give you the illusion of change.
Your small/coastal boat will still be obliterated instantly by destroyers that would pop near your spawn and cap points.

Its not a real answer. Solve the problems & dont try to hide the issues behind fake solutios like - just use 1 boat bro, dont play the game like that bro.

It’s not a fake solution though? It’s how everyone who plays those BRs well plays this game?

There’s no such thing as “pure coastal play” any more than there’s “pure SPAA play” or “AB, but only with bombers”, nor should there be. You have a lineup for a reason. You play it like cards in a hand of card games, you play the best one you have left to solve the problem you have and (hopefully) win.

The best naval lineup 3.3-4.3 has always been, if your country has it:

1 coastal
2 destroyers
1 fighter
1 attacker
1 floatplane (just for that 1 game in 100 where you can do a plane cap)

I’ve played a lot of naval tournaments, played all the best naval players in game at one time or other. There’s basically general agreement on this. If you’re playing different, well no one’s stopping you, I guess.

You are proving my point. You are playing with only 1 coastal because it gets insta death.
Only if the planets align you can get some kills and cap.

Otherwise you know very well the game mechanics are wrecked and you cannot spawn 3 boats cause you will lose money. Thats why you are forced to bend and twist and pretend its not like that.

-General agreement on this- appeal to the mob. Usually the -mob- is wrong.

I must agree with MoF1. I don’'t post or complain very often, but I can’t stay silent here.

Gaijin please revert the settings in arcade naval back to patch v 2.43, especially with the AI bots.

It appears that the AI bots are all at Ace crew level (or better) and are deadly accurate at any range past 3,000 meters. As soon as you visually acquire a bot, it is already hitting your vessel and doing incredible damage. By the time your start landing your shells near or on the bot, your vessel gets destroyed. This happens most of the time. Also, there was a time I spawned in a B6N bomber with a torpedo after all 3 of my ships were gone. No more than 10 seconds out of the air spawn area, both wings were shot off of the aircraft. It was hit by an AI bot ship from some distance. Not even human players are that precise and accurate.

It is NOT fun.

It is NOT enjoyable to play this mode any more.

Playing arcade naval against AI bots at this level of proficiency, is like walking barefoot across a floor of broken glass that’s a centimeter deep in rubbing alcohol.

It’s wonderful that players can earn the same rewards by defeating an AI bot as it would be by defeating a human opponent, but human players aren’t this good, even if some of them are using hacks.

Please revert the changes in arcade naval back to the settings they were in patch v 2.43.

Thank you

Emden shoots my coastal boat from aprox. 8 km,
literally in my spawn,
BOT/AI scores a kill after 0.26/7 seconds :))))))

wow, gaijin devs, thank you for fixing everything. this npc/bot shooting space lasers out of its a** was the last fix we needed

Quit complaining. They give you full lions for killing them now which means they consider you equally skilled. Are you not equally skilled? Do you have a… skill issue perhaps?

Wow, your response is that of someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I doubt that you’ve played arcade naval since the realease of version 2.45.

Its seems that you like to kick people when they’re down. The real skill issue here is your lack of understanding of other people’s situation and the ability to solve the situation in a positive and consrtuctive manner.

May you meet others who are as considerate and compassionate as you are, and may your day be as pleasant as you are.

Yeah, that was my point.

You should have more than 3 crew slots, use them. Some matches and maps you might get away with just boats, but don’t go to a gun fight with just a knife. If you just want to play pure boats, use BR 2.0 or below.

Spading takes an eternity if you have to wait for conditions.

These are probably the players who already grinded their boats, coastal or bluewater or have one of the premium/Squadron vehicle and they dont care about the rest. Talking of a high (sea?) horse.

The game is broken and no amount of twisting the explanation will provide a proper excuse for not fixing it or for coming up with excuses for devs/gaijin doing a poor job.

I actually spade all my boats. xD And play coastal only as coastal-only line ups. Have gotten pretty good at it too. :3

Yeah that’s what I did. It wasn’t without frustrations, but banning certain maps helps.

Right, that’s the problem. That’s why I think naval map/game mode design is what needs to change most. Because right now, most vessels can’t play their intended roles.

Edit: I’m also in favor of reverting the 2.45 changes, to be clear

The sitting behind rocks and spamming rockets thing is more down to bad map design than the SKR’s capabilities. It’s already been nerfed by having its first stage ammo reduced significantly. As for the survivability that is bs unless you’re talking about reserve destroyers and other coastals. This is a matchmaking, map design and BR compression problem that won’t be solved by nerfing the SKRs further.

4.0 and above destroyers will eat you for lunch if they decide to focus you. It only takes a few salvos to obliterate or severely damage an SKR to the point where it eventually sinks. The SKRs are deadly at close ranges but destroyers will absolutely dominate you from medium to long range.

The second you see one, target it instantly so it doesn’t doesn’t rush and massacre your team near the coastal spawn and the cap points closest to them. Some exceptions are utterly moronic maps like North Port where they can reach and camp B rapidly while happily spamming rockets and torps at anything that comes close. In most maps they’re exposed long enough for destroyers to hammer them till they sink.
