Multi path height

that is not how G load works

In the terminal flight phase of most BVR engagements missiles will not have enough energy to pull 40Gs anyway the Aim 54 cant be used in a dogfight no but it has enough energy to pull 18Gs for a very long range and can you just list a few planes that can pull 18Gs anyway lol

Tell me more about the height of multi path…
Recently I played Su-34 and landed on the AF. After landing I was locked by JAS39C and he launched RB-99.
Luckily, I was refilled and respawned, otherwise this missile would kill me.

RB-99 does not care about multi path

It was going in IOG mode…

I love the graphics of old flight sims. They did so much on such little hardware. This game looks far better to me than 1995.

Most players can’t even enjoy the game, and have been on the road to development(hi,kerma,I hope you still remember me.)

It should stay as it is, flying below 50 isnt that hard, also I do hate those who spam FOX3s but what can we do about them?

Notch?
also very easy to do in almost all toptier planes

Yeah, sure. Missile locked me standing on the ground and hit the exact spot I was standing on…
Sure, why not…

Also, I used R-77 in my mission yesterday. R-77 lost the track of almost straight flying bot. I played this mission twice and R-77 lost the target twice. Launch distance 20km.

Does not always help against AIM-120 and other western missiles.
It works very well only against R-27/77.

skill issue

Sure, sure… I guess, my angle was 89.43 degree instead of perfect 90 degrees.
While R-77 loses the track when target angles at 80 degrees.
Definitely skill issue of mine…

then youre doing something wrong.

Aim-120 is far far easier to defeat than an R-27ER

All ARH missiles have basically an identical seeker. R-77 and Aim-120 are equally easy to defeat. Should be a lot harder IRL

Only ARH missile I find particularly hard to defeat is MICA but not because of the seeker, but because of its kinematic performance at close range

they should LOWER it even MORE over WATER. Its abused on maps like city and golan heights

It should be removed entirely in sim, but kept in RB in my opinion.

This way sim becomes more realistic and better, and RB/many aircraft there aren’t negatively affected.

Did not notice that while trying to play sim.
Anyway, I do not play sim PvP anymore, so I do not care.
Just curious about the difference in missile performance adjusted by devs.

Is R-27/77 able to track targets standing on the ground?

go play PVE abuse sessions, as you did before.

Completing PvE tasks is not abuse.
When devs occasionally release a bit OP vehicle, do you blame players for keep playing it before they fix it?

This is likely not on the missile but rather down to the aircraft. Something like a typhoon has a very good RWR and can very effectively kinematically defeat an R-77. Meanwhile something like the Su-27 will have a far harder time defending against an Aim-120 fired by a typhoon, especially if it’s launched with both a height and speed advantage which is often the case.

From matches I’ve done in the tornado Gr4, defending against F4F-ICE firing Aim-120 was trivial, but I was finding it nearly impossible to defeat R-27ERs fired by mig-29s.

If the target is in motion when the missile is launched, even minimally, then it will be detectable on a PD radar. So this is entirely possible. I have been killed by an R-27ER under these conditions and I have killed with an Aim-120 in this manner.

Either IOG or a steep angle can mitigate multipathing

If the target then comes to a complete stop, it’s possible IOG will still score the kill

They are heavily nerfed but adjusted to be very similar. R-77 is superior to Aim-120 in close range fights but the Aim-120 has superior range. The best ARH at the moment is likely the MICA EM, especially when coupled with the Rafale and it’s radar.

R-27ER is still by a very long way the best SARH in the game and can be used to against ARH slingers with correct tactics, The IOG means you can switch off the radar and switch it back on when it’s close to the target, giving them reduced warning and time to react

Oh yeah, I have noticed that. That is why I do not play PvP.

In my situation, the missile hit the exact spot I stopped at. So, I was locked when I already had 0 speed.
Then missile switched to IOG mode, I do not have question to that.

I did not play my mission on planes with AIM-120 yet, but I am really frustrated with R-77.
Also, sometimes the radar of Su-34 loses almost straight flying (towards to you) bot at the distance less than 20km.
