But it shouldn’t have been 10.3 in the first place, it did fine at 10.7 1 year ago, back then F14 was 11.7. It never belonged to 10.3 so the ‘compression’ argument doesn’t apply, that applies to most aircrafts and will benefit everyone, but this is just a case that is not influenced by compression at all.
I think the FM changes just fucked it hard? if it gets its old FM back it may survive better in 10.7 or even goes to 11.0
It’s still the best FM below 11.0 by far. J7D is the only contender. J7D in 10.7 is under tier’d and should go 11.3 if decompression allows.
nah this is just crazy. people just forgot how to fight MiG-21 they want a plane with shitty RWR with bad radar and rear aspect missile play at 11.3, it need at least some form of fuckin radar missile/Good missile in general/excellent FM/working radar/decent RWR/combination of some but not all to play in that BR. you want a plane whose only good point ends at “Good rear aspect missile” to play at SARH BR without the fucking sarh or the flight performance or the radar or the fucking RWR to properly compete. may your next 50 games is just instant death without earning shit.
I said with reasonable decompression. 14.7 if not 15.0 for top tier. J35XS I have seen 6.0+ K/D with extremely strong players, and this is simply a plane undefeatable for MiG17+9B which does exist in 9.3. 10.7 is not a bad BR, max u will get MiG 23s and for the most part easy Tornados.

i find this thread funny because the mig21s is completely busted too, 10.3 airframe at 9.7, no one, and i mean NO ONE at this BR can touch you, and you can easily evade missiles if youre careful with your positioning, ofc very few people play it well and it has mediocre missiles so its not as “in your face” as the j35xs i guess.

cause that for 9.7 is quite an easy plane to beat.
I mean if the person just runs like an F104 can then ofc you wont touch it, but they also have next to no game impact doing that.
It may accelerate faster in a straight line but its also a flying air brake, as all mig21s are, It is quite balanced at 9.7-
So does the F104 yet it sat at 9.3 for god knows how long (before nerfs) and dominated entire lobbies.
Neither the F8E or U can go much faster than mach 1.05 in my experience with them.

If the 21S knows what he’s doing, he’s flying a FM that is competitive at 10.7 nevermind 9.7 fighting F-86s and MiG-17s in downtiers.
The FM is competative at 10.7? , Genuinely never touched it but I have played against it in the likes of hte swift F7 and been okay.
