mitsubishi t2 is very unbalanced as a downteir is practically just seal clubbing it faces 1950s sub sonic jet fighters while having aim9p and capable of reaching 1300 mph, even a toddler with half a braincell could use it in a downteir and get an ace in half a second. it should be at the very least 10.0
It doesn’t have flares, doesn’t dogfight all too well, and only gets the 2 missiles. Its BR position and ability to club in downtiers while getting clubbed in uptiers is a result of BR compression. It would not be worth playing in 10.0. The F-1 that sits there at 10.0 already is considered a very mid aircraft with 4 missiles

you dont need flares or dogfighting capabilities when you can outrun 1950s missiles and have access to missiles that 12.0 jets get.
Ehhh? Like, yeah, the T-2 is very good for its BR, being one of the lowest BR supersonics with 20g missiles. But also like… that’s not really that great of an accolade. 20g missiles are still kinematically defeat able in almost all situations. And as can be seen by the F-1, a direct “upgrade” over the T-2, and itself a fairly decent plane for it’s BR. Pushing it higher very quickly puts it in a bad spot due to being flareless.

Yeah you do. Advanced missiles like the AIM-9G start on decent aircraft as soon as 9.7 with the harrier variants. The Su-25/A-10 at 10.3 both have all aspect missiles. There are lots of R-60s, AIM-9Js, Magic 1s, etc in the 10.0-10.3 range itself not to mention uptiers to 10.7-11.0. Every single one of the jets at the 10.0+ range that don’t have flares is considered mid at best besides maybe the Mirage 3C (and I still think it’s mid, I just know there’s enough people who would fight that)
That’s a joke right? They show up at 9.7-10.0 and are considered mid by 11.0
12.0 is home to long range BVR fox-1s that require notching or multipathing to avoid. You’re talking about a short range, rear aspect only, IR missile that pulls 20g

It’s just BR compression. Under no circumstances should it be facing 9.0s that can’t do anything against it, but it also certainly shouldn’t be within the same BR range of most 10.7s.

Still better than Mirage III/V. The key is that it has a PD radar and more missiles.
PD radar does nothing in air RB at that BR besides maybe find a guy last alive

Well at least you can plan targeting better. Mig21, mirage, traditional radars are essentially unusable and useless on look down
None of those aircraft are doing anything with their radars in look down to need PD

That’s only because of the camouflage painting. camouflage painted planes are always better.
“doesn’t have flares” (literally faster than 104s, enough to outpace most missiles which if they’re high G they’re launched by slow platforms, or if they’re low G they’re launched by better platforms albeit easy to pull off)

What plane are you playing? The T2/F1 are admittedly decently fast for the tier, but they’re nowhere near fast enough to just ignore missiles. Especially given their drifting behavior, as discussed below.
Only at the cost of all of your energy. The T2’s tiny little wings give it an absurdly high, F-104 like wing loading, which means it bleeds worse than some deltas when you touch the controls.
And while it pulls a ton of AoA, those tiny wings don’t give it enough lift to keep up, so you can often find yourself drifting through the air at medium/low speeds, which results in it actually being outturned by the MiG-21 it can “turn inside of”.
There are a wide array of far superior flight models at the BR. Really, the only things going for the T2 are the M61 Vulcan and the two missiles.
