.50cals are abysmal dogshit. The amount of lies and anti-USA propaganda that has led players to think .50cals are good, let alone OP, is genuinely ridiculous.
Literally ANYTHING with an autocannon, be it P-51, F4U-4B, C.202EC, Bf 109, or Il-8 can all take out a Wirbelwind or Btr 152 or any open top in a single pass. And when I say single pass, I mean a short <1 second burst not even in optimal gun targeting range. .50cals, however, can make two or three passes with long burst, starting further than optimal range and ending closer, and you still not destroy the target cause rng decide to curve all 8 .50cal streams around that one guy.
??? Bro it has a lawnmower engine that explodes after 5 seconds of use. In ARB it sucks and it has a superior brother (C. 205 S1) at a lower BR. The C.205 serie 1 doesn’t have canons, but it honestly doesn’t need them.
Also I don’t know what you are on talking about the 202EC being good in GRB, MG151 isn’t good for GRB and the plane sucks in GRB.
Italy has actual good options for that tier like the Re.2001 CN, SM.91/92 (92 has much better bomb load), and the greatest being the Bf 110 G-2

Also on the topic of the thread, whilst I do agree the R2Y2 is blatantly over tiered, the MB-326K is not a good comparison.
I spaded the MB-326K relatively fast, and every game I was top or near top of leaderboard alongside other MB-326K. I think the problem with the comparison here is just that the MB-326K is going to go up in BR anyway.
I project it will probably end up at 7.7 with how the BR increases usually go for Italy. I think that 7.3 would be perfectly reasonable though. As of now I feel when played correctly against players new to jet combat, it absolutely destroys everyone.
I usually climb to 5000m, go straight and get to speed (even stock you will be ahead of the entire team), I’ll maybe go for a headon and then I’ll flank. Then dive and take whatever kill you want. Also in a dogfight it is a great plane, it’s incredibly easy to energy trap people in it and the guns are great
That’s what I used to think, until I realized just how many targets you can actually kill with mg 151, and how good it is at killing them.
Why not use Re.2001 CN which is better and also has bomb

The r2y2 (I’ll take the V3 here since I had fought one) does have roughly the same TWR, nearly identical instantaneous turn ((I believe the mb326k actually turns better here)), exact same top speed, whilst having more retention and the defas have far better firerate and ballistics. Not to mention two additional gunpods.
Will say tho I have not played the r2y2 and this is from statshark and having fought it twice but the MB326 feels like the same thing but better at 1 entire BR lower to boot, where rn it’s busted af (I am no joke 80kd in it, my 1 death to a p51h and another to a squadmate tk) so it’s a good analogue.
Imo both of them should move to 7.3

7.3 is its battle rating in Arcade, at most it should not go over 7.7 for sure I can see arguments for potentially 7.7 but to me 7.3 is the most logical!
Should been same across all the game modes IMO…
It is a shame that Gaijin only knows using efficiency to measure that.
They should add the R2Y2 v1 back to the tt

it’s even less real than panther 2/tiger2 105, (colian shouldn’t have been removed it meets criteria to be added imo)
They’ve no real basis is reality as they’re almost completely made up, r1y1 was a very cool looking prototype but it wasn’t armed and did terrible at actually flying
If we’re gonna get fake vehicles they should at least be somewhat reasonable I honestly don’t think they should’ve been added
i mean the r2y2 v1 (pretty much a r2y1 with engines slung under the wing) is very much realistic, after all its a small conversion of the airframe, with engines under the wing and likely added structure to the wing struts to handle the added weight.
the other possible option, would be more post war american planes added… something you guys also hate. thats just the reality of late war/post war japan and germany, their militaries stop producing stuff so the ONLY thing you got left is horrendous mid cold war prototypes (which you guys will complain about as well), blueprint vehicles, or unfinished prototypes. so take your pick of poison because one of these is gonna happen sooner or later.

That is completely false in the case of the V1, the R2Y1 project was going to be completely canceled on July 1944 as the requirement for the highspeed long range recon plane was dropped after the loses in the battle of the Philippines sea, at that point there was only about 20% of the prototype built (even the design work wasn’t fully completed).
However at the same time the Japanese Navy was looking to start production of turbojet powered aircraft as basic turbo jets where simpler to build and could run on lower grade fuel, which was a significant issue for Japan.
Keiun not wanting to scrap the work they had already put into the R2Y1 development proposed repurposing it into the “R2Y2 Experimental Keiun Kai” powered by 2 TR30 engines:
They also suggested restarting the R2Y1 proto type construction to use as the test bed for the design.
Later in 1944 Japan began production on the axial-flow turbojet Ne-330 base on the German BMW-003A and changed the design to use them.
The prototype was completed in April 1945, 9 months AFTER the recon plane project was canceled, and 2 more prototypes where being built:

So the R2Y2 was planned as the end result of the R2Y and in development from mid 1944 and had one fully completed and 2 partially completed airframes and at least the TR30 engines fully built and the NE-330s partially built. The 1st airframe was destroyed by a USA bombing raid soon after its 1st prop powered flight and Japan lacked the resources to complete the other 2 airframes:

The V1 fully deserves to remain in the game as an “unfinished prototype” as 80% of the R2Y1 was completed with the sole intention of using it as a testbed for the R2Y2 and 2 partial air frames where built AFTER changing the project from R2Y1 to the R2Y2 project specifically for the jet attacker development and given that the Kikka used Ne-20 engines you could argue both the TR-30 and Ne-330 where unique to the R2Y2 as well.

Ohh how I Long to see a J7W2 or the P1Y Tenga( Or P1Y7) as event vehicles. NGL, an event called Secret Weapons dedicated to Japan & Germany would be awesome to see along with more other experimental WW2 A2G ammunitions like the Ki-148 I-Go 1B that’s currently in game. Which honestly was very satisfying to fly and use.
Besides that, Really agree with the OP, 7.7 for Air, 7.3 for Ground or both at 7.3. Super Props don’t have issues fighting early jets. The R2Y2 really shouldn’t be 8.0. Like why should I face a 9.0 F3H-2 with radar/IR missiles…Sure IR are easy to dodge but there are times we just don’t see it coming and kaboom. Plus its so much slower compared to other jets, cant keep up unless they commit to a dogfight or head-on. That’s about it.
