Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

No joke, I will take 9xmav-like things.

We are receiving such aircraft. Mirage 2000C and Gripen both were such aircraft.

I do not see that much of an issue personally.
Back in.the day imbalance regarding new mechanics or capabilities was much greater.

It was entirely what I was expecting them to do.

Was never imagining we’d get the LOAL mode 3 version nor was I expecting mmV to be at full strength, but this hardline stance on it being 100% historically accurate with no room for placeholder FnF to give it parity to AGMs at the same BR baffles me.

Heck, The lack of BOL, BOL modeling, lack of radar and even Aim-9Ms are more historically in-accurate at the moment on the GR4 :D

I would say both are inferior in BVR only because their loadout, cause obviously they are great vehicles, but RN, why are F15s ruling the skies, cause they can afford to dump 4 AMRAAMs and still fight WVR. Whilst Su27s could do the same, they can’t really dump R77s with Mech and expect to hit. J10 is the only one that is close to F15, although the radar is still inferior.

Yeah, when was the last time a “Gripen is OP please nerf” post appeared and Ive never seen one for the Mirage, only threads about buffing MICA and Magic.

F-15Cs definetly hold the meta at the moment despite being “inferior” in WVR

Issue is, the WR seem to say otherwise if one doesn’t play top tier, cause US WR is like 54%, only because 90% of the times they are on both sides.

Gaijin might change radar for F-15C MSIP II after decompress battle rating higher 13.7 some day ?

Buff both F-15C MSIP II and F-15E add AIM-120C & AIM-120C-5 ?

Personally I do not like unrealistic loadouts.
I’ve not played the MiG-29 9.12 since spading them.
R-27ER does not belong in it while it lacks R-73.

Hawk 200 is not in British service so Gaijin would have to take weigh how to add if it will be added at all.

Harrier never used any skyflashes as far as I’m aware. I did not like Skyflash on Gripen but it is what it is.
If a vehicle could use the given armarement but did not I’d sau a compromise for the sake of balance reasonable but giving fantasy loadouts is more than pushing it in my opinion.

Yeah, which is why WR as a metric for vehicle balancing at top tier is useless.

Maybe Aim-120Cs, but was thinking more like better radar and BOL

I think maybe not so much of air cause sample size, but ground I think RB is less good of volumetric than AB, cause there are more direct fights, less side shooting, it’s just more obvious representation of fire power and protection. Air arcade I never play except when I use 5K contracts.

What?

That has never stopped Gaijin before. Falcon and Challenger Marksman were only Prototypes for example

All BAE Hawks (except those used by Finland) have an easy placement on our tree

I mean same could be said about Chinese stuff, like PL12 was considered AIM120C equivalent but just so they could be added now they had to be nerfed. I think they should just add another later batch F15C which has AIM120C and ESA radar.

Thats not stopped gaijin in the past, we could easily see 3 variant based purely off of the British Aerospace prototypes, these being

Hawk 200 (early)

Earliest variant with integrated ADEN 25s in the nose, but no wingtip pylons

Hawk 200 (late)

a later/ production variant, sacrificing the internal cannons for wingtip pylons

Hawk 200 Night Attack

A hawk 200 Early equipped with a Marconi FLIR system instead of the radar

Personally I would argue that the early could be limited to Sidewinder/Skyflash and get a BR of around 11.0, whilst the late could receive ASRAAM and AMRAAM at around 13.7 or so

The SHAR comment was directly due to Gripen not having it IRL, as a “well this could have been done” for parity weapons etc.

As for “UK didnt use it” on Hawk 200, well, the UK makes them, and theres plenty of other vehicles the UK makes for export that are in the UK tree. Vickers mbts for example. Could just go with an Omani or the proposed Saudi 1 (given Saudi planes have been added to the UK before, EG the Lightning F53)

That was in regard to them being the best before F-15 or AMRAAM were part of the game.
France and Britain do get attention but it is hard to match any new addition one for one because there are not enough steps in capacity or not enough vehicles.

Yeah, but still, even with F15 they are quite good except they can’t just spam, meaning u don’t get a free kill until u reach 50/50 dogfights.
I now do like a 20km spam of PL12 before I even really see anyone.

Agreed. But why is it always minor nations playing catch-up and not the other way round.

Would it be the end of the world if Britain, Italy, France, Germany, China and Sweden had the strongest aircraft in game for an update or 2?

which one, just “C”? C-7? C-3?

The Hawks could be very capable and diverse in the UK TT.

T.1A would be a good alternative to the Alpha Jets, Gaijin could omit the 9L’s and equip it only with it’s A-G weapons and place it around 9.0

Hawk 100 Early could be around 10.7 and be equipped with 9L’s, would have the same A-G weapons as the T.1A.

Hawk 100 Late could be foldered with the 100 Early can and have 9L’s but the extended A-G weapons options with Brimstones and ALARM. Could be 10.7 in Air battles and 11.3+ in ground.

Hawk 103 could be an event/premium aircraft, would basically be a Hawk 100 Early.

Hawk 200’s could either come to 13.0 with AMRAAM’s/13.3+ with ASRAAM’s, or could be split as an Early and Late versions, Late would be with AMRAAM’s and in the future ASRAAM’s but the Early version could come with Skyflash and sidewinders and be placed around 11.7/12.0

Hawk 203 could be an event/premium vehicle alongside the Hawk 103.

Overall there’s many versions of the Hawk that could come for the UK TT which could each be unique and useful in-game
