I resent the notion that my brain is off when I club seals.
Part of what makes the A.C.I so fun to play is the chance to demonstrate mastery of the 2pounder. It is not a brain off kind of experience.

When I played lower tiers 1.0-5.0 I tend to completely turn my brain off and just play. If I do well, cool. If not, oh well. Above that I will only put in as much effort as I feel like. Some days it’s a little and other days it’s more, but as a generally rule of thumb I don’t TryHard in WT. It’s not worth it.
Seal clubbing is a garbage playstyle, and I have no respect for those when they actively engage in it.
For everyone saying fun tier is low tier, you guys should try out bringing low tier to high tier, really fun.
Level doesn’t indicate skill.
I agree
But what does this mean? So you sit there in your tank and check the level of the enemy tank that rolls in fornt of you before you fire?
I take it that if its a level 9 player you just shout " peow "at the screen and wait for a higher level player to pass by ? : )
I’m referencing to those higher level players who TryHard in lower tiers. Using the exploitative spots, spawncamping, etc. I have no respect for such players who are in the act of it.
When it comes to the lower BRs it’s actually really easy to differentiate a newbie vs someone experienced, though I will shoot them both all the same. I simply don’t go out of my way to utterly destroy the newbies like others do. There’s no sport in it, imho.
I grinded the entire first Star for the KV-7 of 35k Points in 3h 30m today using only KV-IB and Churchill together with captured T-34. Lower ranks are less frustrating to Play and even fun and engaging sometimes.
Unlike Top Tier where you drive to your execution spot and your dart wouldn’t kill anyone anyways.
Something else you see less of in low tiers are people who leave after one or two deaths.
It’s more likely that people have full line ups ready and keep playing and fighting until the match ends.
Just a bit of fun at lower tiers, what I play the game for, shoot an scoot. I tend to think the whole thing unravels later on for many reasons.
I have never much progressed past tier V. The highest BR plane I’m having some sort of fun playing sits at 8.3, and 96% of my games is in props.
I sometimes return to low BR to fly some hilariously broken plane, like like Yak-2 KABB, BB-1, I-29 and just smash some people.
Half of blame is on Gaijin, because thry are not even bothering to properly balance planes, and airspawn balance is broken ever since day 1, but I’m not gonna lie, I’m enjoying it a lot, it’s just a super-easy mode.
Why is everybody defending seal clubbing here? There are legitimate reasons to play low tier as a high level player, but that doesn’t mean you should be actively trying to bully others. Especially @Pale_Horse_Rider . Seal clubbing isn’t going to make all people improve; it’s also toxic, and will make people (who could have enjoyed the game by gradually learning) quit the game entirely. You’re actively destroying War Thunder if you play for the entire purpose of dominating new players, it’s pathetic and cowardly behaviour.
If playing low tier and being good at the game is all it takes to be considered bullying then I will gladly defend it because the alternative is silly.
Experienced players should not feel obligated to avoid low tiers or purposefully play worse.
So basically, what your saying is I’m now allowed to play low tier just cuz I’m an experienced player who knows how to play and what to do to carry and just want to enjoy some early war machines gameplay…lol ok. Not my fault they are new, if they want to quit, they can quit or stay and continue learning how to play just like I did when I started playing…we all been through it.
To me, it really depends on what they are playing and how they are playing it. If it’s someone who only ever plays the Pz II or some other really good low tier tank, then they are clubbing the enemy. If someone just really likes to play Shermans or T-34s than that is ok.
Personally, I wish more experienced players played low tier, especially in air. It would be nice to have a team of skilled players facing another team of skilled players.
I’ve recently been grinding low tier Sweden, Germany, Italy, and France. I can’t just set my lvl back to 1.
You can drink something or play using only one hand ;)
At these speeds guys in a few years rank VII would have more 10-20 levels them I-II
It’s impossible to perfectly balance, because planes like the ones you listed are not actually that strong. They merely have a lower skill floor, allowing more people to do “well” with them.
ngl, i did that with the Japanese Zeros and was still doing well with it lol Was the time when I hurt my fingers that presses WASD buttons. Had to rely on my mouse only.
Yak-2KABB will smash half of your team before you even get to altitude. If someone has good aim, it’s a slaughter machine. Similar story goes for I-29.
They are simply super-effective. I myself can be considered a decent player but I feel disgusted by what these planes can do. They may be noob friendly, but oh boy, a good player will ruin your day, unless you’re in Ki-27 and like to fight 1 v 6.
