Germany doesn’t need “minor Axis”, they already have a lot of stuff from their own. Spain could be an Italian subtree instead of Hungary/Romania, but in that case these nations would better fit some Eastern Europe TTs like V4 and Yugoslavia.

I propose adding the Spanish Leopard 2E MBT (also known as Leopard 2 Impreso) to the game.
It is a licensed modification of the German Leopard 2A6, produced in Spain by Santa Bárbara Sistemas between 2003 and 2008. The tank was developed under the Coraza-2000 program to replace the aging M60A3s.
The main difference from the base 2A6 is the armor. An additional composite armor module was added to the upper glacis plate (UFP), similar to the one found on the Swedish Strv 122. Additionally, the roof armor over the crew hatches was reinforced, and an anti-mine plate was added to the belly.
As for the rest of the specs: the gun remains the same long-barrel 120mm Rheinmetall L/55 as on the 2A6 (firing DM53 and DM63 APFSDS). They fitted an in-house FCS by Indra, featuring high-resolution thermals for both the gunner and the commander’s panoramic sight. Due to the extra armor, the weight increased to 62.5 tons, so with the same 1500 hp MTU engine, the acceleration will be slightly worse than that of the German 2A6 More information here
No? Italy already has 2 subtrees that can offer top tier stuff, Hungary can offer another Leopard 2A7 and Romania Abrams, Italy doesn’t need another subtree and Spain is better of on their own TT with collaboration like with Portugal or other Hispanic Countries

Spain can be added as an operator in France, or it can be used as a squad or marathon tank for Germany
Germany has their own Leopards they don’t need Spain, and France has Benelux

The Netherlands has only one top-of-the-line Leopard 2A6, so another Leopard wouldn’t hurt
The Netherlands is missing at least two 2A6M variants, although they aren’t needed that much in that tech tree.
EMBT and other French MBT’s are the answer here.

None of these are 12.7 worthy though. In their current form the 2A6 is a 12.3 and the Leclercs are barely 12.0 worthy as is.
I think it’s fine if Spain went to the Italian TT. I don’t want to see their ww2 vehicles in France, when Sweden is already put up with the allies for some reason in sim with Finland. Italy is already a sort of minor axis / Mediterranean tree.
Germany already has enough domestic stuff which Gaijin refuses to add for some reason. There are a bunch of Leopard 2 variants with armor packages.
They don’t have enough domestic items, not even that many imports for that matter. Same with Portugal.

France already has dutch leopards and will get 2a8s in the future, there is no need for the spanish leos.
Generaly there is no need for a spanish subtree in either france or italy
export variants still can go to germany as an option.

2EX didnt get the thermals upgraded, that was only part of the production series of the 2E and 2a6Hel
What about the Leopard 2EX demo 2 I am pretty sure it had everything and a better engine
