K-17 Bumerang during a Military Parade rehearsal. Note the waterjets allowing for Amphibious capabilities.
Description :
The K-17 Bumerang is a wheeled Infantry Fighting Vehicle being developed for the Russian Army. Development began in 2011 by the Military Industrial Company LLC when the Russian Ministry of Defense requested a new wheeled APC to replace the BTR series of vehicles. Alongside this development was the request to build a wheeled IFV. The vehicle family ended up being designated the VPK-7829 Bumerang. The Bumerang was first seen in public in 2015 during rehearsals for the Moscow Victory Day Parade. Multiple modifications of the vehicle have occurred with some models seen with a BMP-2M turret and later models being developed with the Bumerang-BM turret seen on the Kurganets-25 Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Another upgrade was the 510hp UTD-32TR Turbocharged Diesel Engine being replaced with the 750hp YaMZ-780 Turbocharged Diesel Engine. This vehicle is equipped with a lot of firepower featuring a 30mm 2A42 30mm Automatic Gun as well as 2x Dual Kornet Launchers, launching the new 9M133 Kornet-EM ATGM with a new warhead as well as fire-and-forget capabilities. This vehicle can also be equipped with the Afghanit Active Protection System. It has been seen with the model of Afghanit that locates all equipment into the turret only without the Multi-Spectral Smoke Launchers. Testing is due to be finished at the end of 2021 with more deliveries possibly scheduled for 2022+.
Sources claim that frontal protection can withstand 30mm APDS rounds.
Protection against small arms, shrapnel, and low-caliber APDS rounds.

Reason for Implementation:
The K-17 Bumerang is a heavily armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle that would sit comfortably at top tier levels. It would have high mobility, allowing it to capture points and relocate around the field to take out tanks, light vehicles, and helicopters with ease. The Kornet-EM’s, with their 1,300mm of penetration behind ERA, would allow the Bumerang to knock out any Main Battle Tank in-game. It also can be equipped with the Afghanit Hard-Kill/Soft-Kill APS. This vehicle shouldn’t be added to the game until other countries receive similar technology such as the French EBRC Jaguar for example.
+1 but not without ammo that is unknown to have been fired from it.
Its a frustrating and slippery slope. Russia has been catered to in the past with the BMP-2M. Gaijin has already stated they will not add the CIWS HVAP to the M163, and same goes for other vehicles. I am all for it if Gaijin is willing to open the door on other nations, but as of right now that seems unfair, unless there is solid information the ammunition was used
The round is expected to be adopted for this platform, however, the 3UBR6 APBC-T and (in lesser cases) the 3UBR8 APDS are a lot more widely used in the RGF. There was also problems with the 2A42 autocannon in firing the 3UBR8 (and likely the 3UBR11) resulting in accuracy issues due to a high volume in spreading, however this was likely rectified as a solution was brought up in boring out more of the Muzzle Brake.
This is typical Russian bias! Whenever it comes to upgrading Western equipment that could challenge the “tanks of the great and mighty Russia,” which dominate the ranks starting from Rank III BR.
