Just How Bad is the US SPAA Line?

I think some will climb out of the hole that is brainless gameplay, and others do not. If they don’t want to climb out of it, it’s on them, not on the players who took effort to learn.

He’s talking about AB, where you cannot select what loadouts you are going to get in aircraft.

AB, so you cant choose the aircraft or loadout. Tiny Tims are currently OP due to being basically a bomb without a fuze, and completely guaranteeing you 2-3 kills.

AB has a very… different meta to RB, and atm rockets > bombs.

I would say CAS (in general) is easier to play than SPAA. Your idea is to somewhat make it easier for the SPAAs, but would slightly hinder players who had worked for the difference in skill. These changes may (or may not) also affect the BRs of these SPAAs, as they would seem to be more powerful in general.

I think there could be other ways to make playing SPAAs easier, but this idea may not be too bad.

I do think us swedes will still use the Bkan though…

Mainly because even with lead our SPAAs suck lol

Lvkv 42 is not a bad AA. Neither is L-62 ANTI II. At least for their respective BRs.
The BKAN is one of the easiest proxy arty ‘SPAA’ in the game too.

That’s true, but resupply near a friendly capture point is always an option.

Not really. I play AB, and the Bkan is easily the best SPAA at its tier- its truly astounding. Amazing velocity, and it can nuke any tank that tries to fight it, too.

Hull rotates well too.

We’re really talking about GRB here, not GAB.

GAB has the lead indicator, its a good view of what it would be like in this new GRB.

Something that older players may not want, as it’s getting closer and closer to GAB lol

Vocal Minority™ moment.

Not going to lie- you are one of the most friendly players ive seen to the AB perspective, and I dont get any judging from you on it, which I am glad to see.

Its nice simply being able to discuss these things civilly.

I think ABs is fine, although there is a stigma (with good reason) about it, in which only noobs play it. There is a reason why bullet drop, aim assist, pen indicator, and enemy markers exist in AB, which is to help the player do what they have to do.

Ehhh…

Go play AB in a light, and you will see it isnt all sunshine and roses, same with AAB. Its just different imo, and a lot of RB players forget that AB is the majority of players.

Pen indicator lies, and enemy markers is a double-edged sword- your enemies get it too.

And we do have one place where we can claim total superiority in skill, and thats top tier AAB. shudders in the horrors of VPO

I’m not saying that players there are always less skillfull. It’s just that typically, less experienced players play it in order to learn the game, and understand key concepts about bullet drop, armour, tank / aircraft identification, and positioning. Then there are also seal clubbers that go to AB just to bully those players. But there are other skills that you need to learn in AB that is mostly separate to RB (like reaction time). And top tier AAB sounds awful to me (and a lot other RB mains). From what I can tell, it’s just non-stop cesspools with a sprinkle of competent players who hide behind their team and geograhical cover to rearm their missiles.

Ah, yeah.

Top Tier AAB is the horrors of war due to a pair of squadrons absolutely dominating it, (VPO and GUUD). Aoeilaeiepae (The only TYAAB YT’r) shows a pretty good idea of what its like.

And in the words of that man:

“Welcome to top tier, the jungle speaks AIM-9M.”

I agree. Also the R3 T20 and XM800T are fairly analogous. Both were designed to be light reconaissance vehicles, not SPAA.

still too trash to justify even having it in your lineup
