It was added as a filler, back when Japan had nothing so the tech tree had something to exist
I for one don’t have an issue with it existing (we are entering the age of fictional aircraft now anyways), I’m just naming it as an example for this issue
Honestly I would not complain about F2 ADTW if it at last had AIM-7P at least it has DL.
and yes i know that only the US NAF used it . Gaijin has done many Ahistoric things in the name of balance… AJ is another example, why can’t the F2 ADTW at least get that…

If I play 18C early, get 5 kills in the first game thats on my BR, then got full uptier twice in a row, where I dont get any kills but I manage to survive (ie. not make any mistakes), my KD is still 5 but my KS just dropped down to 1.6.
sure we can argue whenever i had any impact in those two uptiers and if i survived by simply pussying out by hiding or simply due to my defensive flying in the heat of the battle, but the core issue remains.
This is why I prefer K/D as well. Especially in the constant snowball meta at missile tiers. It’s a complete cointoss whether your team or the opponent’s will fold instantly after first contact, and from that you have to pick to play defensively (Can net a couple of kills from a loss, but results in no kills on a win) or aggressively (Gives you a fighting chance of scoring a few kills from a win, but usually just gets you mobbed and killed in a loss).
With K/D, at least my stats are being set by the games where I had a chance to contribute, rather than those that were over before I had the ability to do anything.
I mean it would be, and ppl, maybe you even, would want the replica jet at a lower Br just because its premium. Ppl have asked for it in clear words in this thread to be identical to the tech tree one but 13.3
I mean, MiGoon has a point - KD can be farmed with planes like F-14
But that behaviour can be easily identified by simply opening vehicles tab and looking up stats of individual planes.
Fun fact, the F-2 ADTW in game uses a radar that even the F-2A did not use until a later upgrade

Obviously replica with the same characteristics at 13.3 it’s pure cope and won’t be a fair in context of regular F2.
But all what i meant personally for me is:
2 AAM4 13.3 > 4 Sparrows 13.0
4 AAM4 13.7 > 4 Sparrows 13.0
yeah it had the J/APG 1 which did not support AAM4 and that’s why they invented the J/APG 2 and also increased it’s effective range while still reworking it.
but still if it uses the same Radar why not give it at least 2 AAM4 and make it 13.3 ? 2 less ARH at least. on 13.3 the MIG N can have 6 ARH that are seen on 13.7 SU 27SM soo gaijin please help balance , AND LOOK AT THE DAMN SU30MKM AND MK2 slinging R77 at 13.3 and carrying 10 missiles in total
They either have to decompress the Hell out of top br but I don’t think they will go 15.7 anytime soon nor will they try to decompress the BR at all for the foreseeable future…
so yeah we either get shittier compression as time goes by or just give the plane Missiles that it can properly use When constantly getting up tiered
It might be “bad” in Air RB. But in Air SIM it’s a menace when the br is 12-13/12.3-13.3.
If anything it should go up to a 13.3 in SIM.
Lowering it’s BR is just going against all the Decompressing we are trying to push Gaijin to do.
they can separately change the br for sim and rb so i don’t think it’s going to be an issue, if it goes down to 12.7 in ARB it can stay at 13.0 in SIM
but if it receives amraams it should go up either way

I’ve seen a lot of complaining about the ADTW’s AESA radar, and I can’t understand why people consider the radar important.
Honestly, it’s pointless to have radar if you don’t have a missile that’s up to the task of competing on equal terms with other aircraft in the battle rating.
The excuse from Gaijin for not having the missiles is that we’ll be stuck with a vehicle similar to the standard one, but that’s not necessarily true. Clearly, there are aircraft in the Japanese fleet that use the AIM-120, and the ADTW could easily be one of them.
Speaking from the experience of flying the F-15J, I would consider the AESA RADAR an advantage even without ARH missiles.
The TWS and NTCR mean you have excellent spatial awareness, meaning you can track what planes are going where from the start of the game, plus you can know if ARH missiles are coming your way and how close they are.
They make the AIM-7Ms a bit less of a joke, since you have more information about your target before you fire.
The ADTW and other previous top tier SARH slingers need decompression, not ARHs of their own. All that does is move the inherent imbalance of the ARH vs SARH matchup down further. There will always be a final tier of aircraft who don’t have access to ARH missiles, they need a BR bracket that lets them avoid fighting said ARH missiles a good proportion of the time.
