So why not an adjustment for it? Lower its BR for a bit or allow access to a bit better radar missile for example
Flight model, its the same reason why the Typhoon is at 14.3 despite being the worst top tier in the game
Its a beefed F16 yes, flight model is one thing though since both F2s are the same (i’m not complaining about it), its AAM-3 are absolute killer and thats it, AIM-7M can be decent at lower BR but dogsh!t at 13.0 not talking about its radar can lose the lock frequently and often got uptiered
It’s arguably the 3-4th best airframe in the game for doing everything.
4 Sparrows is more than enough to deal with most Fox 3 slingers it will face.
Especially considering the flankers with boat loads of R-77 are typically on its team.
That leaves you with the F-4 ice and the abysmal garbage Sea Harrier FA.2.

If not bc of me going multipath or flanking at high altitute then i would have eat 6 loads of R77 or AIM120 from spammers and goon at hangar
I feel like if the top air br is raised to 15.0 (pre next-gen update), with F2A remaining at 13.0 while some better competitors around its br moved slightly (particularly the 13.3s with 6 fox 3 vs. F2A’s sparrow at 0.3 br higher, abysmal…) then I think it should be a bit more balanced and fair than simply lowering its br. I dont have the pack F2 but I enjoyed playing a bit of F16AJ at 12.7 and it faces somewhat similar situation. The flying model is great but I doubt it deserves to sit at the same br as pack F18s with 6 7Ps and 2 9Ls (F16AJ has 2 7Fs which is just worse than 7P isnt it? and 4 9Ls)
Thats funny considering it can face JAS39C J10A, J11B/SU-27SM, F-16C and F-15E which are planes that can easily beat the shit out of F-2 ADTW.
Coupling with inconsisten radar and Sparrows it cannot beat any Fox-3 slinger at that br if the enemy has more than one brain cell.

All R-77 slinging Flanker need to go 13.7-14.0. F-15A with 9m should not be 12.7

Captor-M Typhoon, radar kinda sucks, it stumbles about and is so unstable that it feels drunk, with terrible missiles. Yes it dominates people in 1v1 gun fights but thats rarely ever relevant at top tier

I much prefer the F-18C to the mechanical scan Typhoon.
MS Typhoons have horrific radar scan options.
And obviously I prefer the F-18E over the F-18C.
giving it AIM-7Ps would help a lot, I would assume it could use them as it has the same radar as the F-2A with the datalink for the AAM-4s

The main issue with the F-2 is the undertiered flankers that you constantly fight in even just a .3 br uptier
