AIM-120s are the worst pulling missiles therefore you always need to put yourself in a worse position than any other fox 3 to fire a return shot in a joust, so they’re always worse, it’s really that simple, they are the worst top tier fox 3 for this reason

the drag is utter nonsense as well as the lack of ws10, I really hope it’s fixed because the ef2000/rafale meta is so stale

im going to just say, the only thing horrible with the plane is the drag and the lack of it’s better engines… that’s it and both of those can be easily solved
actually the PL-12s are a lot better, BVR is pretty useless for the current game, the meta is focused on missiles that pull alot and the only things that the PL-12s pull behind are the R-77s + MICA-EMs… so imo they’re one of the best missiles for top tier, i’ve hit very off bore shots with them that are impossible to do with the AMRAAM

i will say though spading the J-10C was miserable and it’s not too good for 14.3 (mid) even after spading it, it’s definitely 14.0 material. the insane drag increase after mach 1 and lack of engine power just screw it over, not to mention the extremely high fuel consumption to pair it with

Frankly, I think it’s 14.3 material. However, the planes around it like the Rafale, EF w/AESA, and SU-30SM2 need to go up to at least 14.7, if not 15.X. Insane that multiple straight, major upgrades of the EF and SU-30 are at the same BR as their previous, significantly weaker earlier variants. It seems like they’re likely going to put the top tier 4.5 gen AESA planes into rank 9 sometime next year, so hopefully that comes with some nice BR decompression as well. The Gripen E should be similar, moved up, while the top-top tiers move up even more.
We should be advocating for planes to be going up, not down, unless absolutely necessary. Moving the J-10C down would just compress 13.X even more than the Gripen E already has, while having a negligible impact on the J-10C’s actual matchmaker.
