I know, but compared to the other missiles when I use them, they generally track better. I probably just have bad luck with them compared to others.

iv only used the pl12 on the Jf-17 but it feels pretty good to me the only time it feels worse than an aim120 is in like 30+km shots where its a little worse than the aim120A but Under 30km the missile feels great and gets me kills i wouldn’t get with the aim120
Because this has relevancy right? LOL I’m just telling you how TWS and the PL12 works, both of which I fully understand without having to use them.

All missiles do that. Unless they have reconnect with datalink=yes (which is only present on datalinked fox ones), they are not able to relock if you lock, unlock and relock mid flight, as unlocking from hard lock or switching radar mode severs the datalink connection with fox 3s (when it shouldn’t, at least with certain fox 3s IRL)
The J10C as of now is one big joke of a so called “upgrade”. Rather stick with the J10A at a lower BR.
It would be interesting why they are so opposed to adding the WS 10B to the J10C along with fixing it´s FM and giving it its correct weapon loadouts. Especially if we get radars added that haven´t even left testing phase yet.
Unfortunately it seems they can´t be bothered to invest the time into it. Pretty sad, I was so hyped for the J10C

I have played China and the J-10A and can tell you, PL-12 is better than AIM-120 for WVR and not that far ay BVR

After having over 400 matches in the J-11A and over 1,200 matches combined between the J-11s I can sadly say that the J-10C is very, very bad plane to be sitting at 14.3.
The airframe feels more sluggish compared to the A model, it can reach higher top speeds which is not only a completely useless fact for this type of fighter, but the airframe is about half a ton heavier. I dont see a single reason to not add the WS-10B apart from Gaijin being scared of this plane overperforming and watching how it will do with this nonsense nerfed AL-31 version.
Radar while being an improvement is a complete mess right now, I read about TWS mode being bugged again but what is in the game right now is much worse than what Eurofighter was in its most broken era, it is basically guaranteed that if you track a plane and it fires a missile it will start tracking the missile itself and mess up your shot.
Still only 72 countermeasures, while that is not in-game problem as the amount is realistic, it is far less than what is the standard at this BR.
And lastly missiles, yes the PL-12 is a good missile, but it is not at 120C, 77-1 or MICA level, most of this being due to the airframe (remember the MICA was not a problem until the Rafale came to the game), and PL-8B which I would honestly personally rate as one of the worst IRCCM missiles in the game - it is useless on very short range and and anything above 1.5km just gets one-flared for some reason which does not happen to me when im playing with any other top tier fox2 (honestly even 27ETs feel more flare resistant)
Overall the J-10C feels like an unfinished product, we have both WS-10B and PL-15 in the files, and while the game is not ready for both of these at the same time, we should have gotten atleast one of these for now, preferably the WS-10B engine, as we may expect the PL-15 to be added early next year together with counters from other nations like the 120C-7, R-77M etc.

Uuuuh what? Aesa isn’t the only radar which can datalink, the reason datalink si more powerful on aesa is because t tracks better on notching targets and because it can track outside the scan zone, afaik the only fox 3 equipped aircraft without datalink capability is the viggen
