nerf over 120Bs more than anything; its worse at normal combat ranges and better at ranges where you have to be AFK to get hit lol.
Seeker of PL-12 isnt any different to other ARHs bar MICAs.

I didn’t say R-77-1’s…
I said R-77, the basic one.
Have you ever tried PL-12s yourself? You’re speaking as if you have had experience with PL-12s.
We have datamined spreadsheet you know.

The only real difference is that AMRAAMs seeker turns on at 20km vs PL-12 16km, but that is irrelevant as both will lock onto target at 16km distance - thus it doesnt matter if the seeker is turned on moment before the missile reaches 16km or when it reaches 16km.
This point is valid, but you claiming that PL-12s are bad, and that that 120C-5s are an upgrade ruined any credibility. The PL-12s (and hopefully other missiles) can also be buffed to be closer to IRL, because AFAIK they are underperforming.
It would be fine at 14.0, considering it is worse than the base eurofighters at the moment.
So Datamine tells you the flight path when there have been videos of them showing different flight paths and acceleration between the PL-12 and AIM-120? Datamined means squat if it’s actually different in game.
Why do you suddenly move the goalpost from seeker to kinematics?
PL-12s are better than Aim-120Cs, and are arguably better than 120Bs excluding BVR.
Look at the chat; I’ve literally stated how it feels like it has less range than the AIM-120s. It has been about the PL-12 overall.
My problem is the limited range, as it burns quickly before even reaching the target. Giving targets even at 15KM a chance to turn away and peel.
No, YOU look at the chat.
My comment, to which you responded to initially, was about seeker.
My follow up was about seeker.
Not once I talked about kinematics.
“I was told by a single guy some information and when 3+ people confront me I double down and say they’re all wrong”
And? I like how you speak as if you have experience with the missile itself. From personal experience, the missile just loses track of the target easily. So have my friends.
I do agree this is an issue, and it happens at even shorter ranges.
The J-10C could’ve given a chance for China to have a decent BVR and WVR aircraft, but it’s handicapped by a weaker engine and absurdly high supersonic drag.
This isn’t unique to the PL-12.
I know, but compared to the other missiles when I use them, they generally track better. I probably just have bad luck with them compared to others.
PL-12 is better
Once again, you didn’t try out China yourself. And you’re just commenting randomly without any prior experience.
iv only used the pl12 on the Jf-17 but it feels pretty good to me the only time it feels worse than an aim120 is in like 30+km shots where its a little worse than the aim120A but Under 30km the missile feels great and gets me kills i wouldn’t get with the aim120
Because this has relevancy right? LOL I’m just telling you how TWS and the PL12 works, both of which I fully understand without having to use them.
All missiles do that. Unless they have reconnect with datalink=yes (which is only present on datalinked fox ones), they are not able to relock if you lock, unlock and relock mid flight, as unlocking from hard lock or switching radar mode severs the datalink connection with fox 3s (when it shouldn’t, at least with certain fox 3s IRL)
