Is MCM gone?

My bad. Didn’t know you were a premium SU enjoyer. Now I understand why you’re so hell bent on keeping McM.

an aim-120 from the front is basically a circle with a diameter of 177.8mm or 17.78cm or 0.1778m

so the frontal area of an Aim120 is π * (0.1778m/2)^2 = 0.025 m^2

that is just wrong

yeah you should definitely start doing that

trying to cut my sentences to make my sound like I said f22 doesnt have Rcs

what’s the point of this math still no logic

math =/= logic

yeah buddy

maybe start writing sentences that can actually be comprehended

there are these symbols called a “dot” and “coma” for a reason

oh no I own a Su30 WOMP WOMP

so your math is wrong because your trying to say a aim120 will be coming directly head on instead of slightly sideways like it actually flys so smart🥀

Using thin trails of logic to try and act as if we are the irrational people for wanting a meta that unfairly and unrealistically favors aircraft with a high number of AAMs when the most abundant aircraft in the world is one of the worst performing (F-16 PoBIT) at it’s BR due to things such as this simply makes you look childish.

Nobody cares that you feel the need to clutch your pearls because your niche and narrow meta is unpopular.

then prove my math wrong and calculate the area that a missile comming at you at an angle would be

you need to reformulate what you are saying because its really hard to understand what are you trying to say, if what you mean is that the angle of attack of the missile might not always give a full 1-1 view of the front but a partial view of the back due to the diagonal trajectory yes that’s a thing and yes that means the target will have a bigger RCS due to more reflection surfaces, is like light scattering, sometimes it bounces from spot you dont normally see because its i not in your FOV

I don’t need to prove it because you know your math is slop

so you cant prove me wrong

I can but you already know it

apparently not

even then the RCS of a missile will still be below 0.1m^2

what?

his math is not slop, its the simple math calculation to get an area of surface of a circular object. wich is wrong in the term that it is not a circle but a cilinder with a cone shaped nose wich means it would need more complex calculations but the idea is there

not really since the radome of a missile is radar transparent

so what you would have to calculate is the area of the antenna below the radome

the math is slop because its irrerlivant to this McM topic because a missile wont be flying at a 0 degree angle in BVR or in any situation because its not a bullet or arrow

that is true, radomes in the case of the aim 120 its fully tansparent to external signals so it dosent degrade as much as possible its own signal
