IS 3 Br needs to be 7.3/7.7 at least

Bruh

Its literally was Gaijin reasoning

As I have said, this is a problem of br compression. GJ should decompress ww2 tech with cold war tech by moving up anything 7.0 and above can move up 0.3 br. In current state, the IS-3 just doesnt have the capacity to face current 8.3 vehicles, insufficient gun handeling and gun itself, mobility nor survivability. Can we agree on that?

And here you see two IS-3 doing absolutely jack shit because they are so slow that everyone else in the team is already in positions fighting the enemy.
That guy in first place was in a M56, racking up 6 kills before he was killed.
So M56 is OP because it is able to get 6 kills?

The IS-3 is nothing but a more armored but slower Tiger II with more than twice the reload time.
Compared to the IS-2 1944 you get no benefit but armor and even lose some traverse speed.

One game you bounce every round and get 5 kills, the next you’re too late to the party and get shot in the side turret by some light tank already in position, taking you out or disabling you.

It was a subjective comment from me. 1.3 k/d for me is quite average, as I am quite passive and wait for enemies to drive in front of me.

Think as you wanna

Dude literally having a melty over a tank that has 23s reload
Tries to prove it’s OP by showing results of a single (1) game

Peak WT Forum poster lmao.

So basically your argument is becuase i suck with this tank cant no be op.
Is not only a good game is my win ratio just encreased from 55% to 66% only a few days after the changes and dont stop going up.

Trap shot still works, Jumbo 76s can do it even in a almost full uptier. A OHK if you have APHE.

16% of win ratio increase is only obtained with one game ???

I’m a German main, and I completely disagree. Hell, I think the IS-3 would be fine at 6.7, where it would finally give the Soviets a proper 6.7 lineup without forcing above-average amounts of uptiers to 7.3 for everyone else.

Mate, this thing has a glacial reload. I’m happy to see it with the JT because even I get to out-reload it.

This thing has the biggest single shot trap of ANY tech tree vehicle currently in the game. Only the E-100, a rare event vehicle, has a worse shot trap.

The turret cheek to the right of the gun is a weak spot you can pen.

If the IS-3 player angles the pike nose even a little bit? Dead.

If you’re sitting higher than the IS-3 and shoot at the glacis near the top of the hull? Dead.

Idler wheel exposed in corner peeking knife fights? Dead.

Heavy tanks should be able to rely on their armour unless they’re literally great at everything else. Say, Object 279: it has MBT-like mobility, firepower, and reload times, so it doesn’t need to rely on armour to fulfill its function in the game.

But the IS-3 is like the Jagdtiger. It’s a frontal battering ram with huge reload times that is mediocre at everything else. Without its armour, it’s nothing. God knows it already meets enough postwar tanks that completely nullify its protection…

This is as true for German heavies as it is for Soviets, and those of any other tree. No special treatment.

Don’t reject the complexity of 6.7, it’s my favourite BR for a reason. It is highly technical, and shot placement matters. Rise up to the challenge. You are perfectly capable of frontally one-tapping IS-3s in your Tiger II.

I play the Maus. It’s one of my favourite vehicles, especially in sim, and a lot more capable than people realise. It just needs a very peculiar playstyle.

You say the 75mm is useless, but that’s false. It kills helicopters. It tracks vehicles in one hit. It barrele them in another hit, two hits tops. It can blind the enemy with smoke. I literally survive being barreled because I can stop the guy who barreled me before he flanks, and I can take out his own gun too.

Have you ever fired the 75mm at a T-54 turret? Because it takes out the commander. Sometimes it can even deliver a kill. One time I killed an IS-3 by shot trapping it with the HEAT round (pretty sure that’s not physically possible but well, volumetric is what it is).

And it decimates light vehicles.

The Maus is fine at 7.7. Even more so now, post decompression.

Show me where i said that.

Here.

If it’s not a benefit, then by definition, it’s useless (no point having something that brings no benefit).

I disagree with that assessment. The 75mm HEAT is one of the Maus’ most powerful features.

IS-3 moves to 7.3

Next day: waaa it isn’t fair, I get pulled to 7.3 “every match” and Soviets are too OP there, needs to move higher.

There was another thread pointing how OP 7.3 currently is (2 vehicles, one a premium) because 6.7 only sees 7.3 and 7.7… except when you play 5.7/6.0/6.3 and only get 6.7s. Wack another 7.3 there and they can get them all shifted to 8.0.

You are quoting another guy dude.

No, the next day 6.0 and 6.3 is finally more decompresed and balanced.

Too late, already happening.

Not the 7.0/7.3 direct issue the thread starts with but comments regarding impact on current 6.3/6.7s. And not saying you are the one that might complain about it.

Sorry, the same profile pic showing up two posts in a row threw me for a bit of a loop 😁

Dont worry :)

At 7.3 it would at least limit the amounts that could spawn in a 7.3, yet doesn’t solve the overall issue.
7.7 is a lot worse because it makes 7.3 unlimited.
