Ho-Ri Prototype and Production too high

Tbf 1 op thing doesnt justify other op thing. T58 doesnt make bmpt balanced and vice versa. Just like su39 doesnt make albatross fair.

The entire WT community when Japan gets a vehicle that requires more then 2 brain cells to deal with…

I mean god forbid you try to fight a casemate TD designed to fight front on by… I dunno, not fighting it front on or something.

this is the Ho-Ri

the gun was not UNIQUE to the Ho-Ri project, it was also meant for the Ka-To

bro went from looking for 5 tanks that can’t pen his hori to the hori getting removed the next day

The Ho-Ri and Ka-To were parallel, independent projects, but the Ho-Ri had a semi-automatic laoding system :the crew manually placed the shell into the chamber, and the machine then automatically rammed it into the breech, essentially automating only half the loading process. This was needed because the projectile was 123 cm long and weighed 30 kg.
Both weapons finished around the same time (May and Aug/Sept 1945). They converged on the same 105mm caliber simply because the Army had settled on it as the answer to Allied heavy tanks, not because one gun was reused between the two designs.
Breech were differents, and shells as well.

I don’t think the barrel is the same between the Type 5 and type 92 vs the Ka-To.

I was fighting against people trying to put it at 14.7,
but that’s an honorable death.
Actually that’s what I was wanting, because it was a well performing tank that doesn’t deserve an uptier. Making it a rare tank, like the Maus, Tiger 10,5 make it still enjoyable while not more game-changer because there won’t be 5 in a team in a couple years.
That’s the change I wanted.

This is where your logic fails.

The wooden mockup was for a different rejected design, it’s also misinterpreted quite a lot in the “Prototype” in War Thunder to the point that the in-game design is just impossible.

Though for the finalized Ho-Ri design the cannon (specifically the later cast gun shield version meant to be on the final tank) and the five prototypes that were under construction are more than enough for it to count as an unfinished prototype.

Gaijin continues to care and change and balance these removed vehicles, all the same. Look at KT 10.5 and Flakpanzer. Hori may be getting sidelined out of the tree, but it’s not the end of its story.

It also used the Ho-Ri’s heavily armored gun mount, so I’d argue it’s still a Ho-Ri specific part and not the Ka-To

R2Y2 “V1” could actually come back permanently, but idk what the armament would be like. They set 1000kg aside for armament, but the heaviest bomb load it carries is 1x 800kg.

There was a partially built Ho-Ri tank. However it is very different and would be ~6.0.

Ka-To’s gun followed a similar, but completely independent development timeline. The two cannons were slightly different from each other. This also means we can get Ka-To.
