The BR on these 2 tanks is way too high, their performance does not match their BR at all, the Prototype is at the same br as the Jagdtiger which is better in every way, even the Jagdpanther surpasses this brick having its entire frontal armour sloped and a much better gun as the Japanese use uncapped APHE, not to mention the mobility…god the mobility, the prototype would sit much better at 6.0 with the production at 6.7 as its actually comparable to the Jagdtiger

lol. ho-ri prod is the best 7.3. by alot. Most APHE can’t pen it at all and it has 6 crew while being incredibly fast for its weight. The gun is fine and has a lot of filler for its weight. My only complaint is the engine exhaust vents are bugged to all hell and you can often pen through the UFP by shooting the engine exhaust with <200 pen rounds.

The HO-RI prototype should be like 6.3, even 6.0, the turret armor is able to be penetrated by 76MM or 85mm guns, for production currently, it is fair due to Gaijin nerfed its mobility, which made it like tiger 2 or Jagtiger that hard to turn.
BTW, I believe over 99% players don’t know how bad the prototype is

Look at all Japanese vehicles Guard.
It’s a Japanese problem. When you put us at our actual BR, we sealclub everyone.
This is why Gaijin not only nerfed almost all shells in our vehicles, but also lazily didn’t bother to give us all of our missing tanks, SPAA’s, SPG’s, aircraft, Armor, Shells, and mobility that have been provided over almost 1 and a half decades. Simply because they want to prioritize 3 nations and scratch their head why those 3 nations are operated by a bunch of morons. Who whine and cry that they are dying left and right cause they can’t see a bloody tank right in front of them.
(Also, yes im aware that tanks came later, but the documentation came earlier. That said have a good one, lads.

the Ho-Ri Production is I think my 3rd most played tank, and I can’t get enough of it. It is real that it won’t be as good in full uptier, but we need to consider a full downtier… Where it litteraly overkill Tiger II’s.
Fighting US tanks is harder, since the T-26 and all it’s variant are harder since you can’t pen a Jumbo Perching (sorry if I say that wrong) and he can. But the Ho-Ri Prod have a survivability close to somthing like one of the best in game :
6 crews, 2 separed by the engine that have metal sheets to stop spalling when one of your crew rooms get hit; and all that with a vry good amo placement, I almost never get killed by the amo exploding.
Sadly I’ve never ^played the Ho-Ri Prot so I can’t really talk about it.
conclusion: Ho-Ri Prod is just fine at 7.3, maybe with difficulties against USA in uptier where ‘menaces’ are more present in the game.
Uncapped APHE is actually better vs sloped armor if it’s below 65 degrees if I remember right.

There is no issue with these vehicles being ingame as Gaijin refuses to add anything else for Japan despite all the forum posts detailing japanese WW2 projects, even the O-I which is a real tank and was built and tested isnt ingame

Except at 7.3 APHE isnt your biggest threat anymore, you begin facing cold war MBTs which dont care about armour, i would personally nerf its engine and make it a brick like the Jagdtiger and lower it
