Hello everybody! Do you think that with the recent changes to certain radar missiles flight performances such as aim120, aim7, r77, mica, etc...it makes infared dogfight missiles underwhelming

its a flat map with mountains 40km away from everything terrain masking is multipath

You know that that is not in the slightest unique to the US right?

What do you mean

Y’all, we are SO off topic, let’s reel it back in, buff IR missiles mobility? Nerf ARH?

nerf ARH aoa for most reworked missiles and rework IR´s yes

They are still required to write reports on the programs, sometimes they even use them as proof their methods work to make things go smoother

AESA is in no point a logical evolution of the concept behind PESAs. It’s very different in principles and even terms of pure architecture. Phrasing that as if AESAs were purely advancements derivated from the work on PESAs is plainly and purely wrong.

And when there was very little issues with a program, which was the case at the beginning of the JSF, before it snowballed, the ODOT&E barely wrote 2-3 pages a year (with illustrations) on the program. The GAO barely gave a line or two. We have a yearly review about the Rafale program in France as well for exemple, issues of the early program years were writen there as well. As I said, if you have that much material in those reports, it’s because you’ve a lot of issues to address. It’s not just that the evil and freedomless europeans don’t have any free speech and transparency on their programs.

Because those reports would be classified, US agencies do not write as much publicly about projects which are heavily classified and in development.

NE map is hills that rise nothing over 100-300 meters and these trees everywhere we need a himalayan mountains NE map that would be playable isn’t it crazy how the plane stop you from dropping nukes because you put a laser designator on a plane that isn’t the one your in and you die to 2s6 because of it holy snail rage bait

Quick’n’dirty demo between Su-30SM vs AESA euro
watch how the Su-30SM loses track while AESA euro doesn’t

It’s much more noticeable on the Su-30SM2 because well, the radar can’t exactly look partially behind itself lol.

And so the US are the only one having a standardised information containment system for their major programs and suddenly all aircraft have massive issues that just aren’t disclosed because of course if mother america has issues with the F-35 then everyone else does with their national programs lmao (word salad sorry).

F35 has obvious issues like china stealing canopy parts and not returning them everyone knows this but will still buy them

surely the ones partaking in the program arent interested in how its going aswell lmao

I didn’t mean it as they were based on PESA I meant it as they are better by a step, a step up from PESA, chill out

Low level rage bait or probably just lack of understanding about military procurement.

Reports during the early development of something as advanced and classified as the JSF program are obviously going to be restricted.

They still wrote about them, just for internal review not out there with public access

Nah I never chillout. Autism dictates me to be an absolutely insuferable twat and correct everything one may say wrong about my special interests (nah sorry man I’m tired, it wasn’t personal).

The GAO and DoDIG reports for the FY2025 are both over 40 pages long of technical documentation on the program. And similar reports are being produced since 2015. Idk what you’re trying to say.

I’m dead serious the canopy is in china I wont say stolen but that doesn’t sound like a mistake now china has canopy stealth and the weapons bay doors some very important parts that’s a problem maybe the biggest f-35 issue even USA couldn’t find a ejected f-35 stealth is too OP
