Stay high, stay far? It’s really that easy, don’t go kissing the enemy AA
but why go to the furball and wait till the RWR goes off when you have 16 ARH that can be used at 60km range and a radar that can DL all of them
I’m talking about ingame purposes, not irl. Irl, the APG-81 is magnitude better than the Irbis-E and probably one of the best radar set currently fielded on a fighter. The issue is that this dude doesn’t understand ingame dynamics and can’t even argue about irl comparison to other fighter FCRs.
Sm2 is PESA which is supposed to be a worse cheapo version of AESA but gaijin made them the same :/
What’s the point of that question 🥀.
No, they are slightly different actually
AESA can update any target within gimbal limits until it is notched or target leaves gimbal while PESA loses track a bit after target leaves scan zone
that the F35 doesn’t need 360 gimbal width to work if we only look at gimbal width USA mains would be crying all day there are more important things
In terms of scan, most of it is determined by computer and software. AESA is only better for DBF and ECCM, which both aren’t modeled for the moment.
Oh! I didnt know that, been a while since I’ve watched any vids about RED vehicles tbh
It’s not as transparent or comprehensive as with the US, there is entire parts of the government dedicated to inspecting every bit of major military programs
It’s just purely better than PESA, AESA is like the next step up from PESA
Ok but, we’re losing the point. You said it was gonna have the best radar set ingame, and it’s already not true with what we have in the game, either you compare it to the captor E or the Irbis E. Shrimple.
Not how it works. The only common point is E scan, which in both cases aren’t achieved the same way lmao.
2S6 isnt even affected by multipath
Yeah
Or just use terrain?
Bro, you MASSIVELY underestimate how important a good radar gimbal is
it’s important but not the only thing that exist
and that’s called multipath
He’s wrong about radar gimbal but at least F-35 has some nice features to help work around it
No, there’s more to using terrain than just multipath
And we have equivalent commissions within our parliaments to conduct the same studies. You guys have a shit lot of info because there is a shit lot of problems that need to be covered. Commissions won’t write reports to say « it works » lmao.
