Are you telling me that you have never once played helicopters incorrectly… even when you first started playing them?
Do I need to be any more apparent?
as @rainy2000 have already stated, the max for ground is 12.7. The reason why it’s this way is because certain platforms is just a menace in a down tiers.
Lets take the SU34 for example. If it was 12.0 and was in a down tier (11.0), how many people in the enemy team would have a proper spaa or aircraft to counter it? Not many nations even have a good 11.0 spaa to begin with.
the intent of having the SU34 at 12.7 is regardless if it gets in a down tier, it’ll at least guarantee that the everyone will have a proper vehicle to counter it.
Obviously it’s not perfect because top tier is a mess right now.
I played helicopters in games since 2006, and learned tactics since 2009 thanks to real-life interviews, documentation, and expert players.
I keep up with it all because of my love of helicopters.
And I apply what I see extremely easily.
However, by the time I played helicopters in War Thunder [2019] players got all the top SPAA and were good with it, so there wasn’t much I could do personally, and I would only start spawning helicopters on advantageous maps for a moment in 2023.
Even still, they should increase the max BR to 13.7 already.
There is no reason why the Su-25SM3 should be just 0.3 BR lower than the SU-34, for example.
So tell me how have you played them? The tactics I mentioned work quite well even with spaa present
But you can clearly see from the screenshots that I have posted, and the videos I have posted about how that is just not the case.
There are definitely better players than you and I, and those players are doing very well despite having to deal with SPAA.
You can just watch videos of experts. I’m bad at explaining things as-is, and I’m not about to spend an entire day to learn how to explain what I and others do for a singular experience when the entire next month is get Chally 1 prototype, collect data for spreadsheet, play Monster Hunter Wilds, let alone IRL duties.
Learning how to explain things is something I am trash at, so I cannot abide by your request regardless of my desire to do so.
It’s obvious that helicopters like Ka-52 and Spike/PARS slingers could go to 12.7, with Hellfire slingers staying at 12.0.
lol People not naming Mi-28NM, Rooivalk, and Z-10 is also proof enough that Ka-52 is fine at 12.0 let alone the vastly superior SPAA compared to these vehicles sitting at 11.7.
How is the ka-52 on the same level as fnf slingers? Fnf helicopters are the only ones that can deal with spaa.
Just because they haven’t been named yet, doesn’t mean that they don’t have their issues in terms of balance.
Ka-52 is generally the most noticeable in terms of performance against most vehicles.
I would like to see that for myself, so I am willing to 1v1 you in your 11.7 SPAA of choice, against my Z-10.
Not really…
If you cannot kill a ka52 in your spaa (assuming no other ground/air threats) you have a severe lack of skill.
Say that in front of the faces of top SPAA players in competitive squadrons.
Explain to me how a ka-52 (or any other heli than fnf) can counter a COMPITENET spaa player.
Those could go up as well, especially Mi-28NM.
Z-10 could go up mostly for it’s AA capabilities though.
I’ll link you the thread about a similar topic, which discussed about it.
Give me a minute or two to find it.
I was explaining that to @MotorolaCRO not long ago.
Here you go.
Here’s some examples:
FnF helicopters are good at ignoring AAs as their efficiency won’t drop at all if AA is present on the battlefield. Their problem lies in FnF missiles not being as reliable as Vikhrs at killing ground targets, which reduces their potential.
It’s all about tradeoffs, without AA around, Ka-52 is by far the best helicopter you can use.
If AA is around, I’d give an edge to FnF slingers when used by 99.9% of the community.
