I left out the horizontal aiming drive, because you’re correct, and it is faster on the T58, but you managed to list an incorrect value again (as usual), it’s 36º/s aced.
You can always rotate the hull and turret simultaneously to increase your vertical aiming speed.
Faster gun vertical guidance speed > turret horizontal guidance speed.
The Obj. 279 turret is so trolly, that the hull armor is mediocre compared to it’s turret.
Almost every area of the T58’s hull/turret is vulnerable to rounds as weak as the 84mm APDS or the 76mm HEAT, except the turret collar. Now… why should I target the turret collar when I can hit the upper area of the turret or the area around the gun, destroying the breach and killing the commander and gunner?
You keep mentioning the tank’s most heavily armored area in almost every reply lmao. The upper turret area or the area around the gun, which you need to expose to fire, is vulnerable to low power HEAT and APDS rounds. In fact, the entire tank is vulnerable to 76mm HEAT and 84mm APDS rounds, except for the turret collar.
T58/M103 hull armor is weaker than the early M60 model and is almost on par with the T-54’s hull armor, with ~200mm LOS armor on the upper glacis.
KV-220 6.0 → 5.7 reason: being pretty equal to an IS-1 / other competitors such the Tiger 1 it really doesn’t do well in 6.0 matches which are regularly 6.7 it has the same firepower as a 5.7 Russian medium.
T-44(FM) 6.3 → 6.0 reason: very bad armor / survivability, also a poor gun for 6.3
Its pros are mobility and BR-367 which is understandable for 6.0, but 6.3 is pushing it, even as a veteran player I’m struggling to keep this vehicle at a positive kd.
It has far too many weak spots or enemies pen you everywhere.
Removed:
IS-3 7.3 > 7.0 (terrible reload, somewhat slow, bad gun depression, terrible performance, terrible shell unable to deal with many things at 8.3, 8.0, or 7.7, can deal with some 7.3s, heavies are a bit of a problem though).
No. They still have the Cupola weak spot and the add on armor doesn’t help too much (only the Ost has the logs and that only really helps against HEAT at its BR) and the cannon is the exact same as the normal Tiger H1s.
Frontally the armor is actually better than the Tigris, it’s also rare someone shoots the Cupola.
I raise a good question to you.
If the Tiger ost / west get to stay 5.7, why not the Kv-220 be 5.7? It’s currently 6.0 while being practically identical to the Tiger ost in performance.
It is entirely relevant. It’s a comparison. What is with people today? Are comparisons illegal? @quartas121 @ron_23
Did they make comparisons illegal and I didn’t noticed?
I’m saying:
Kv-220 is 6.0
Tiger ost is 5.7
How can both stay? They are pretty much the same tank.
Tigris is a 6.0 and actually has worse armor, and lacks smoke launches.
Heavy tank no.6 is 6.0 and lack all add on armor, in addition has the smoke launchers that block gun depression.
