A sample size of 5 games also isn’t high enough to come to any conclusion.
But being able to get 12 kills in a single match with a plane will say something about its capabilities.
It just changes how the third person reticle is displayed.
If you fire from cockpit view it doesn’t actually change anything for center mounted guns, unless you also activate vertical targeting.
I did quite well with 300m in ARB but it’s not ideal for ground targets because the parallax will have the rounds hit way higher.
With 0m it’s projected at infinity, I think, so the reticle will show where the shell is headed but it will drop low due to the ballistic drop.
On the Ju 87 or Hs 129 I would generally use cockpit view as it gives you the most accuracy.
But the reflex sight in the Yak-9K is so fat that you can’t properly see your target, so I ended up firing from third person.
It fights super props that dance around it and the gun isn’t great for targeting planes.
Against ground targets you have a slower RoF and it takes a lot longer to make passes on enemies.
You can take an Arado with a bomb sight and drop three accurate 500kg bombs and then RTB as going after planes in the Me 262 is basically a waste of time, unless it’s a bomber.
6.7 will have a lot of armored vehicles that the 50mm can’t pen reliably unless you go for top down approach but you also have very bad climb rate.
The Yak-9K went from 4.0 to 5.0 because of its ground killing ability.
The Me 262 went from 6.7 to 6.3 because it’s so bad for air combat.
Now, if the question is, why is the Me 262 at 6.7 and the Yak-9K only 5.0?
It’s probably because the Me 262 always had a high BR and thus it’s ground killing power was always decent, while it’s air killing power was always quite poor.
While the Yak-9K slowly went up because it’s ground killing power was completely broken compared to its ability to also shoot down planes.
I literally got more air kills than ground kills in the first four matches.
If there’s a fighter up then any CAS plane would struggle to get more than one ground kill, before getting chased down.
So?
the same FIGHTER modification takes at least 7.0, and the attacker version is 7.3 (both with 2 bombs or 6 cannons) as i remember.
So then, same flight model jet with higher AT possibilities sits lower than useless against ground jet version.
and again, Shwalbe flies like GOAT at 6.7, making it easiy to outrun any plane, and has a 50mm cannon with closely same abilities as this 45. Yes, its a bit harder to use as it cant “drop” as low. But then its easier to escape enemies with it.
keeping the accuracy in mind, you still cant do more than 3 effective shots per attack both with Yak and 262. But thats not the point, as Shwalbe can and does make ground suffer as much. But it sits LOWER at GRB than its fighter variant, and YAK sits WAY higher already than its fighter variant.
And? The Yak-9T is 4.0, just how the Yak-9K used to be before it can a massive buff to it’s ground killing ability.
The Schwalbe is 6.7 because it trades any reasonable AA ability for a cannon that works against bombers and tanks.
If the MK 108 suddendly had APHE with 50mm pen, they would see a massive increase in ground BR as well, because now they are able to kill both ground and air targets.
I honestly don’t see what you are trying to argue about here.
Yes, and thats a reasonable battle rating. As 5.0 is reasonable for Yak-9K which is practically same 9T with better ammunition.
i dont want to imply that 50mm is as effective against air as the 30mm cannons. But if it WAS a fair trade, then why is it lower? ESPECIALLY lower in a GROUND game mode where it has better CAS abilities than 30mm cannons-one?
I just want to point out that cry about Yak is exaggerated massively. Same time when Shwalbe doing practically the same with USSR and US teams and sits somehow lower than 2x250 sturmwogel, the YAK sits way higher than its fighter variant, and way higher than 9T. Thus i dont understand what do you want from it being already better balanced then the Shwalbe
I just did though ) x>y
Such a good plane but doesn’t give any advantage in statistics. Or in reality)
This discussion is 100% of what 2s38 br discussion is
And what would that be? That it’s under BRed but that teams still lose so it’s fine where it is?
How would it even affect statistics?
Not everyone has it or used it, just because they play Russia.
But yeah at 5.0 it’s losing its effectiveness. Especially when a P-47 with full bombs is cheaper to spawn, can kill a bunch of tanks and start to kill planes or strafe SPAAs.
There’s already the Yak-9UT at 5.7 which has 5.7 performances, or at least is more even to other fighters at 5.7.
You are talking to someone who’d decrease the BR of virtually every Russian vehicle in game, and increase the BR of every other nation. You are wasting your breath.
