That’s not the point of raising em.
It wouldn’t face em, so . . .

Since many players have advocated for British tanks to get this round. It’s not outside the realm of possibility. Since we’re already entertaining a hypothetical BR change, might as well account for a hypothetical ammunition buff.
I’m just calling for consistency within the logic of his own proposal.
In the official balance thread that just closed the other day, I personally suggested that the Pz.IV H and Pz.IV G (L/48) only go up to 4.0, and for the regular Pz.IV G to only go up to 3.7.
And silly me forgot to edit it.
It’s not about overperforming it’s about spacing them away from 2.0 to 2.7 tanks. 1.0 uptiers are incredibly painful for this bracket, especially for people just learning the game.
Too many losses frustrates people and could cause them to leave. I’ve personally had a dozen friends join the game and give up because of balance issues at low tier.
All the Pz.4s should go up one step in my opinion.
They’re cannons are very good, and they have decent armor.
The panzer 4s are very good tanks. Just because bad players play it, doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Proposal drones are usable at 9.7 and above ONLY 9.3s and below have the UAV scout drone removed for balance purposes.
Jumbo 75 hasn’t been 5.3 in ages…
Are you including the short barreled models in that statement?
Assuming we’re only talking about the longer barreled versions, I’m generally in agreement.
Only one I would leave be is the F2 since it’s a bit of a glass cannon. I know the gun is really strong for its BR, and is technically the most mobile of the long-barreled Pz.IV’s, but it does all come at the cost of armor, meaning most lower rank vehicles can still fare well against it.
I’m not sure the Pz.IV J needs to go up either. Ig you could do that, but then its back to the same issue of being a worse Pz.IV H at the same BR.
Pz. IV F2 3.3 → 3.7
Pz. IV G 3.3 → 4.0
Pz. IV H 3.7 → 4.0
Pz. IV J 3.7 → 4.0
Pz.Bef.Wg.IV J 3.7 → 4.0
This is what I was thinking
Did they use bursting charge M61 though? Afaik, the British went out of their way to replace the HE filler with solid metal in the M61’s they received. The only record I know of, of Britain using bursting charge shells, is when Grant/Lee crews in Africa put German 75mm shells in M72 casings.
They did, we’ve been reporting it to Gaijin for years with primary sources. Their excuse is “it’s for game balance.”
Much of this is based around misconceptions. M61 inert and M61 APHE came from US factories. It’s even in US manuals.
So the G going to 3.7 and the H going to 4.0 is more reasonable.
You are correct - it’s the arcade version that is 5.3
But I still think 2 steps is too much.
The Pz 4 H would regularly face 5.0 vehicles that outclass it by a fair amount, and even some cold war vehicles like the PT76B.
And it’s not just ground opponents - the air enemies would be stronger as well.

The updated BR changes just dropped. Jarms got his wish. Lots of low rank decompression.
Only at the cost of most nations now losing their 3.7 vehicles and now having inferior CAS and CAP, while losing some vehicles entirely because they lack a lineup. And now they just compressed 4.x lol
All these BR changes do have the time is recompress and area and in a year they’ll undo these because they didn’t move the tier above up.
This is more so an issue of low ranks being neglected for additions. There are plenty of vehicles that could be added to occupy the position of those moving up.
Low tier isn’t a big focus so again all this did was benefit like 2 nations which already had strong 3.7 and 4.0 lineups, if you didn’t have a strong 3.x lineup then you’ve just been screwed over, especially if your 4.0 is lacking in a lot of areas which just so happens to be quite a few nations.
So Jumbo 75 can now face Tiger 2 N1-50, IS-2 (1944), Ratel 90, and even a slew of US mediums and heavies that can troll it from distance in arcade. That’s just swell.
Why are we talking arcade… this is for GRB / Sim
