(There is an argument to be made that Gaijin can use logic to determine that the 2A8NL will be identical to the German version, meaning it could theoretically be added sooner)

All the data I used for these are directly from Rheinmetall Waffe Munition (RWM) and/or Rheinmetall Nitrochemie
DM 73 is quite literally the same penetrator as DM 53 (and 63) but with the high-pressure SCDB propellant.
As such, for penetration calculation in L/O, the only thing that differs to DM 53 is muzzle-velocity, which is 30m/s higher compared to DM 53.
The odds of gaijin re-doing their ballistic calculation (with adjusted residual velocity at x distance) are close to 0, especially given that there are virtually 0 figures on residual velocity at x ranges for DM 73 published yet.
DM 53 A1, DM 63 and DM 63 A1 have reduced muzzle velocity compared to DM 53 and DM 73 due to the use of the “low-pressure” SCDB propellant (Guns outside of L55A1 and L44A1 whenever that comes, cannot fire DM 73, due to the increased pressure)
The primary reason for using SCDB propellants despite the lower MV is their LOVA (low vulnurability ammunition) characteristics, lower muzzle-velocity delta (less difference in MV at y temperatures) and as such, improved accuracy.
The leopard shouldn’t have the same reload as the Abrams just because it has the same gun, the Abrams has a much better layout inside the tank for the process of loading ammo something that has been documented before, and while I’m sure its not modeled in game the Abrams should also to my knowledge be able to replenish ammo to its first stage ammo rack faster as well.
Given that Germany has been artificially weakened, if they were strong, we would see far more German teams than Russian and American teams in the leagues. Whenever the topic of Germany improving comes up, players like you, with your anti-German stance, try to make fun of it. Like dame no one left Germany because it sucks you do know there are like several other nations to grind right? Last I checked there are 10 nations all needing to be unlocked. Still need black knight, merkava, ZTZ and hell even abrams across multiple branches. There are also a ton more nations that still need better tanks and reworks but you German mains are all the same.
EDIT: Like dame yeah Germany can have the 2A8 but there still needs to be more content for other nations you make it sound like Germany is the reason WT lives today.
But at what point does “weak” become subjective? Different nations designed different vehicles, and there are too many aspects of these vehicles for a perfect 1:1 comparison?
Unfortunately, unless gaijin completely does away with the tree system (they wont) there will always be some level of mismatch between different nations’ capabilities at any given BR that we’ll have to live with. Decompression and better BR balancing can help, but it’ll never be perfect.
And I know you feel like Germany in specific is being targeted, but there are 9 other trees in the game.

This guy sounds like Germany in game is dying and is falling apart. Asking about getting a tank added vs making it sounds like they’re becoming a victim are two completely different things. People get bored of playing the same top tier nation every month. It’s a shuffle of players going for new things yes, this thread makes it sound like it’s a literal lineup problem when it isn’t. The worst thing for WT is following things like statshark where they literally can’t get the same data as Gajin and if they are that might explain why they haven’t even updated July yet. I agree that he makes it sound much more dramatic than it is but is he completely wrong? Germany gets a new SPAA → Gaijin immediately adds the perfect counter next update. The US gets anti ERA darts, Germany gets its own denied. The Abrams gets an armor buff, Germany gets similar reports denied. The US and russian get top tier MBTs with APS, Germany doesnt. They get a new Eurofighter, its worse than the other versions.
I really dont think that Gaijin has some sort of grievance with the tech tree but performance has been in the gutter for something like 9 months now and Gaijin hasnt made a single move to change that despite there being ample of easy and quick fixes/buffs that could help.

But it does. Alone the fact that there’s no way to shot down DIRCM helis makes German teams autolose. You can’t do anything to prevent the ATGM massacre. But I’m guessing AH-64, Z-10 and Mi-28 players have fun spamming their missiles without any counter.
I totally stopped playing German top tier, cause I’m tired to have no chance. Last time I played a Leopard 2 was over a year ago. I’m not the only one. Watch the queue numbers, in case your strong bias allows this^^ If a faction is not competitive, ppl play something else.
100% wrong, never played a game where Germany isn’t in it. Leopard 2 lineup is fine. Talks about 2A8 without providing work from others where they break down the tank or even talk about how the tank is just says “please make it real” Crying about getting new stuff like Germany didn’t get a new hummel and premium puma is like crying they didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas. The whole thing was honestly the Cringest thing I’ve read on forums in a long time or EVER, this is the stuff that should be on reddit or some trauma dump site playing victimhood on a nation that is fine where it is in top tier.
Not true, in fact it is still very strong the only difference was CAS mains cried how strong it was and eventually changed their tactics to low and precision vs flying everywhere.
Have you played the new darts? It doesn’t change the game it’s just a new round nothing special about it. No noticeable difference than the A2.
Not really minus the turret cheeks for sepv3 and trophy and added volumetric you still will get rocked by 30mm to rings. Not a big deal just the way it is in this game.

Based on what sharkstat? Germany has had its good and bad months like most nations. I play it and sometimes I win and sometimes I lose can’t control teammates one bit.
Maybe, but other nations have good things too. Just look at the French Rafale with the MICAs. Is the US going to get compensation for the BeNeLux additions to top tier France?
Literally a complaint across all nations except Russia since they have the SM-SV. Germany also have Flak similar to ADATS which can shoot down helicopters better than radar guided missiles.
Sounds like a SPAA/ helicopter problem not a 2A8 or trophy problem.
