Yeah, that’s true. I am just yapping to make this topic bigger and stay on top of the forum :)
The problem is, the current EC was designed by a single game developer/designer. It seems to me that the decisions were made not by finance staff, but rather by devs who are into this game. And now we just don’t have such pleasure to have developers playing their own game
Why do people on the forum start acting like they’re mad at the whole world? And in the end, they begin to write nothing but exaggerated messages without any constructive input.
Is SIM mode not popular? It’s already more popular than DCS or IL-2.
Do the developers not read the SIM threads? Oh, they definitely do. They probably don’t play SIM themselves, and that’s why they don’t fully understand what to do with it—that’s a problem. But angry, whiny, and provocative posts on the forum won’t solve this issue.
One of the simplest things Gaijin can do to make sim better is to remove the spawn cost for your first spawn. It’ll make it worth it to spawn again if you lose 13k the moment you die, even if you were only alive for a few minutes.
Stuff like this is why I don’t play sim that much. If you die before you get 2 full UA cycles in lots of planes, you’ll be losing SL.
I got much better photo
gaijin should give airsim rewarding as all of the other mods have, because this is just something dumb.
This would create another problem. One death leavers would wander from game to game to play their free spawn.
Better return the spawn costs at the end or when we leave the game repaired on the runway.
I have a suggestion that seeks to counter that, and we already got a one death leaver plague in sim.
I’ll add something else from myself.
- Add a fleet to the simulator battles for aircraft with torpedoes and anti-ship missiles.
- Where there is a sea, add an aircraft carrier or aircraft carriers for naval aircraft. This will diversify the game. And make Jet Blast Deflector on aircraft carriers.
Yes, that is another solution. But my concern here is, that it would make the sim reward system even more complicated.
They could just raise the cap and make it more linear, so it would make sense to get more than 600 points in 15 min. and give some increased “per action” rewards, decorated with a landing multiplier to encourage survival and rtb. Its absolutely stupid that you can go negative with a 5:1.
Slow progress without premium is ok, but not being able to afford the spawn is just a game design flaw.
Yeah, we have , what , 3 maps or so with sea assets? And in Sinai, one if the most busy water bodies worldwide, there’s not a single ship to be found…
You can find all sorts of topics on this forum regarding SIM mode. Constructive, angry, neutral and satisfied, none of them seem to work. So what should we do from your point of view? How to reach out for Devs?
Can we at least get the correct AI assets with the appropriate BR for the right sides? It’s a bit disturbing to bomb your own models or more problematic - lurking on enemy AI planes that look like your own side, less experienced players tend to shoot down their own planes because of this and the difference in BR on high eras means that you get very few points, making the game down to air combat if the aircraft can’t destroy the entire battlefield or several bases in one go
There is also something to be done about the blue side of Denmark, Ark Royal has no AA options and this can often be exploited when tickets are low and the entire lobby is doing missions to win the match
Yeah, also find it quite disturbing to see flights of beautiful Hunters take of and slam into the mountains seconds after again and again.
I would prefer not to change it, sometimes it is the only thing on afghanistan that is able to show me where my airport is lol. But in all seriousness, if we do not see the simplest changes there is no point in expecting the fix of the more serious flaws
But lots of low cloud… the kind of low cloud you might expect on Denmark, but never get. I know they get massive thunderstorms over Sinai, but I don’t think extensive low cloud, fog and mist is typical desert weather. However, it is more typical of somewhere like Dover and the Channel, which is blessed with great weather all the time in WT.
I don’t want the ‘bad’ weather removed, as none of it is ever bad enough to prevent visual flying and flying through the valleys on Afghanistan under a heavy overcast is a real challenge - but not an impossible one by any means. It would just be more immersive, believable and realistic if the weather affected Dover, Denmark more often than the Sinai desert.
And this is the main problem of this game, not sinking ground units or wrong BR AI targets.
Gameplay of royal battle is boring.
Also, disbalance in planes/weapon performace.
Stilll better than RB mode, but still grinding gameplay, nothing more.
Well, sometimes it happens.
But I would rather see realistic use of planes resulting in proper gameplay rather than realistic weather.
bug reports are pointless, gaijin chooses what they want to fix, and will ignore everything elses.
There’s still no BR 12.3 in Sim despite there being plenty of 12.3 planes. How long would it take the developer to fix that, 10 minutes? And you’re asking them for some major changes.
You never get low cumulus clouds over desert (what we have are cumulus). Over desert they are typically at 3000 m+. That’s why people go to fly sailplanes in places like Namibia.
